Did you not realise when you took on the self employed role you would have expenses.?
Did you pay joining fee. ?
Did they tell you had to do 4 parties in first 4 weeks.?
Hi,
Yes, I knew about expenses, just wish my manager was up-front about them, that's all.
I bought the inital starter kit for £40. Must admit, I am happier now with my kit arriving late last night and seeing I have 20 catalogues and lots of order forms already, which will help keep expenses down for now.
I have signed up as a summer temp, which I was told meant I don't have to do the parties, but just make £50 of sales every month.
The reason for my posting was to see if anyone else has joined under this new scheme.

Hi. What a fantastic thread, very informative. I am only on page 37 but thought I would skip to the end to ask a question.
Most of my q's have been answered already but one that hasn't been.
I am considering joining as a consultant but I am dithering slightly as I am not sure I have enough time to commit to it, but that's a whole different story!
My question is this, how can I find out how many people are already doing BSAH in my area? I understand that people don't mind if there are others in your area doing BSAH, but I wouldn't want to do it if my area is already swamped with people! Similarly, how do I find a manager in my area (and can anyone recommend one)? I am concerned that I sign up with a 'good' one as it seems some of you have been disappointed with the people who have recruited you! Also, I wouldn't want to have to travel miles for training and meetings!!
Finally, it seems that a lot of people start with things like this and after a couple of months it just fizzles out! How many of you have been doing this long term?
BTW, I am in south Dorset.
Any help would be appreciated as it may help me make up my mind one way or another!:D0 -

Hi,
I am interested in making some extra pennies. I am taking 2 months of unpaid Mat Leave as of next month and we are going to struggle.
A few years ago, I did attempt to do Ann Summers parties. But that did not go brilliantly, lol.
Is it worth doing this sort of work? How hard is it to get parties. I am a shy person at times, would there be much point in me looking into it?
What happens with tax? When I briefly did Ann Summers, my manager told me that it didn't matter, as you could say that any earnings were going back on new stock? Is this correct?
Also, do many people buy things at the parties. As I have been to parties in the past and not bought anything as money was tight.
Thanks for any help you can give.January GC £33/200

I was a BSAH consultant and left because I wanted to do it in between things, and they expected me to do 4 parties a month.
I got the email today about the summer temp and I was interested.....but I'm thinking twice now!
Do you need to do 4 parties straight away or do they just expect a certain amount of sales?

Hi, have read the majority of this thread and am in awe of you all. I think it would be so nerve wracking to do a party!
Anyway what I wanted to ask was how are your sales going? The beginning of the thread had a lot of people posting their sales which is helpful but the recession was just starting. Have sales dropped or are they back on track again?
I am thinking of joining in the Autumn when I will be moving but I think I would be a nervous wreck lol!

Hi All
I have been thinking about joining TBS@H as a consultant but I am a bit worried about the 4 parties in 4 weeks rule. What happens if you don't hit this target?
Any advice welcome.0 -
Hi
I am thinking about rejoining BSAH in time for Xmas. However, I just know I will not be able to do parties as I have small children so I wondered if it is feasible to put catalogues through neighbour's doors (a bit like doing Avon). Has anyone else done this and did they get enough orders from it?
thanks for any advice.
