  • Thanks Mel, I may see if I can get some parties booked before signing up, to make sure I have the capacity to make the money back quickly. Also, is the kit then mine, or do I have to return it if I stop doing parties?

Can you do Body Shop and Ann Summers parties as well as working full time?? Would you have to pay tax on incomings??

Yes you would have to pay tax etc on your income less allowable deductions if you were liable.

    Hiya,

I'm currently looking into a way to increase my income whilst I'm finishing my PhD so that if I don't get a job immediately we can have a little bit extra to fall back on and am interested in the Body Shop at Home.

I'm sure I'm going to be asking questions which have been asked already numerous times during this thread but please don't I hope you can understand that its not always easy to distil the information you're after from 145 pages!:o

I understand I have to pay £40 upfront & arrange 4 parties in my first month to be a BSaH rep but wanted to know what other commitment there is in the scheme - e.g. sales targets & length of being a rep.

Also, I see that reps get ~25% commission on sales, but could someone please explain to me what the party hosts get out of it?

I was also wondering whether the products sold at the parties are all at full price as BS online has lots of money off offers & most people I know are quite internet savvy so I'm not sure how much they'd buy if they knew they could get it cheaper elsewhere.

Another query I had was about p&p as i saw someone mention much earlier in the thread that they had bought additional items because a party hadn't gone well in order to cover the p&p - so I just wondered how much this is & does it get deducted from your commission? (and in effect do you end up paying both for delivery to your home for the items and then the cost of delivering them out to your clients?)

Sorry for the long list of Qs :o & thanks in advance for your help :)

    Kind wishes kasey xx
