    Hi Keza,
I tried using the butter, scrubs and shower gels as a pwp set at a party last week but I think I just overwhelmed people with so many offers and they didn't go for it. I also think that maybe ladies just got the impression that I just wanted them to spend, spend, spend which is probably off-putting. I chose to just use the sales to offer my services instead - the bag, ribbon, bow and bath lily costs about 70p for me but it worked far better as my previous posts show :) Ladies loved the fact that I was being helpful and offering the service for free - as I said it cost me pennies and has given me credibilty :) (The pwp I tried to offer at the previous party would have actually cost me nearly £2)! I made it sound casual,ie,'ladies if you are thinking of treating yourselves to a bargain and choose to treat yourself to a body butter, scrub and shower gel from the sales leaflet while it's half price or are buying them as a gift for someone please let me know and I will happily gift wrap it for you free of charge and I'll include a free bath lily to complete the set for you.' I hold up the gift wrapped example that I have in my kit :)
Sorry I'm waffling on but hope this helps :)
    Jenny x :)

P.s. I only made a set up as an example,ie,raspberry body butter, scrub and shower gel in a body shop bag with bath lily tied with ribbon and bow to pretty it up. Guests could choose body butter, scrub and shower gel and paid the sales price on leaflet.
    Have fun x :)

  • Hi Ladies,
I had my second party last night and I was really excited about it. The host is a friend of mine and I knew she was looking forward to being pampered. She opted for a pamper party so while I waited for the ladies to arrive I set everything up. Everyone had arrived on time so after a brief intro I went to get myself sorted but the ladies got chatting and although I tried to get their attention back to why I was there, I tried three times and even my host mentioned getting started but by the time people had another round of drinks it was 9.30pm and no one was really interested in what I had to say they just wanted to go home so after picking a couple of things from the catalogue they left.
I felt that all my preparation was pointless. I really made an effort and really wanted to show them a good time but two of them are pregnant and when I tried chatting to them afterwards they weren’t interested so I came away with £21.95 of sales but one of the ladies didn’t even buy anything because her husband had just been made redundant and she’s pregnant, she did take a catalogue with her.
I mentioned booking their own parties and they just looked at me like I had two heads. It was very disappointing. I thought I’d been very good with my host coaching but my friend didn’t really care much for the promotions or incentives and as she’d been to a previous party she didn’t buy anything but she’s going to book a party for November which is exciting and my other friend who popped in does Phoenix Card Trading and she’s suggested doing a joint party in September so that’s good too.
But I still feel completely deflated this morning!

oh no, sorry to hear your party didnt go as planned. its happened to me a couple of times and it can be very disappointing but it will pick up. i was feeling terrible last week after only ahving one party since the beginning of july (which wasnt brilliant!) but then the next party i had boosted me through the roof.

Its a guessing game! good luck for the next one thou. some people just go for the free wine and food i think sometimes. :( xxx

I suppose these things happen but I'm a little disheartened today. I'm still trying to get two of my friends to re book their parties for this month! Unfortunately ones a student so has exams and the other owns her own business! I really need to make a go of this and it sucks that I'm struggling!

    Hi Gemma

Just wanted to say that I've been doing TBSAH for 4 years on and off and it has highs and lows. It takes one bad party like this to make you despondant but then you will have a good party and feel much better again! One thing I have found is that if you move in the same circle then you will probably find the same thing happens if you book a party for one of them, so try and break out of that a bit if you can and only party for them when you're desperate for a booking!
