The Body Shop At Home (Hints and tips)

just thought i would give the thread a little bump as we seem to have got a little lost.....
I know this is working for lots of ladies and judging from the new people i see at the meetings every time there is still a lot of excitement around this party plan idea..
Maybe next time we are at meetings we should draw everyones attention to this thread so that we can get some real conversations and ideas going...0 -
Oh I'm loving Body Shop :j I had a bit of a slow start at first but then looked at what I was doing to see if I could improve things and now I'm flying :T The biggest change I made is to make coffee calls with my hostesses within 48 hours of them receiving their party pack of which they normally have from me at the party I have met them at
This I think has made the biggest difference - my sales have doubled and occasionally tripled! That half hour having a cuppa with your lovely new hostess and going through her pack explaining to her exactly why she needs to ask her guests to bring a friend with them, why she needs to give 5 catalogues out to 5 ladies who may not make it to the party,(or maybe the hostess doesn't want to invite them) and why she must write out a wish list of what she wants to treat herself with, etc, makes such a difference in attendance, sales, bookings and of course earnings, woop woop, you wouldn't believe :j
Go for it ladies - we have it all in the palm of our hands :A

I did the worst party in the world last friday and has put me off covering for other consultants forever! It was awful, I have had to bin my brushes because I can't get the smell of nicotine and stale smoke out of them and guess what.... 0 sales! nothing at all! HOWEVER, it has not put me off ONE BIT! All its done is motivate me to change the way I do things and know where I went wrong so Im determined to go forward and not let it bother me!
Kenyashilling - we'll make sure we mention it at next team meeting because I agree this is such a useful resource - espeically when people are thinking of joining. I spent weeks reading the thread before I joined and its what confirmed my decision.

Hi Ladies,
Its been a little while so I thought I'd touch base! Frustratingly my two friends who cancelled on my have yet to rebook! I've called them leaving messages and emailed them but I've heard nothing, they don't live locally so I can't pop around and have a cuppa easily so I've kind of had to be more resourceful and I've begged my mum to invite some friends over for coffee on Saturday morning so I can possibly get some orders, I know she wants things so its the perfect excuse. My other friend who couldn't get all her friends in one place is doing tomorrow night and I've got my own on Friday (2nd go at it) and then I'm covering one on Saturday afternoon and I'm nervous as hell as I'm still extremely new to this but I'm hoping that I will walk away with amazing sales at least.
On another note my friends mum is organising a fete in July and wants me to do a stall for the body shop, she thinks it will be a winner but I've never done one before, has anyone here? How successful are they? I'm not hopeful at getting orders but a few party bookings would be nice and I'm trying to tie it in as a fundraiser as I think it might interest the people more. Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.
I'm hoping to get out this month and stole around fetes etc trying to drum up some business, is it quite effective. I did a leaflet drop on Monday to nearly 400 addresses in my area, I was quite impressed so fingers crossed that something comes out of it, someone called and confirmed they pop over on Friday evening which is a good start.
Sorry its a really long message!

Hi Ladies,
I have been asked to do a stand at a school Christmas fair in Nov/December and was wondering how that works. Do I offer guests free postage over a certain amount of money? What if they only order £20 and have to pay a £5.00 delivery charge too. So clueless with all this. It is at a public school so I am sure that no one is too strapped for cash. Any ideas or tips on how to make this work best would be greatly appreciated!!
Love the idea of gift wrapping of the items JennyJewell!!0 -
Thankyou Ally - have sold quite a few of them and my customers think it's great - it's really helping me build up good relationships
