  • Im doing my fundraiser at a drama school in Hemel Hempstead for Breast Cancer Awareness - its a cool swanky wine bar that Im doing it in and I'v sold 20 tickets and a possible 10 more could turn up so it's quite exciting! I'v got a couple of qualified therapist friends who are going to come and do hand and foot massages using BS products, I'll be doing mini facials and there is a free makeover raffle at the end of the night. There will be a tombola from stuff I'v collected over the last few weeks, freebies and incetives plus some chocs and a bottle of wine - the venue has supplied a voucher for a free class as a tombola prize. Im selling the bath puffs to raise money and for every party booked on the night Im donating a further £5 to the charity plus 10% off all BS sales tonight is going to charity....its been hard work but totally worth it!

Iv got some games and prizes etc laid on, it should be fun! I'll let you all know tomorrow how it went!

I have another one next week in aid of British Heart Foundation

Email me Keza if you want any advice/help arranging one - although u know how long my emails get! haha

    xx

  • where are you based Keza - did i miss that post.... could you have hitched a ride to cobham.....
  • Just go in and speak to the landlady and say who you are and just ask if they would be interested in holding a fundraising event! Say they wont have to do anything, you will supply the posters and run the event on the night which is what I'v done for both of mine - designed posters and tickets etc (tickets are important because you could have 1 person or you could have 30 and you need to know!!) its more business for them and they can even choose the charity for the money to go to . I also wrote to my local schools and introduced myself and iv had 2 invites to pamper nights in july out of it so it's definitely worth doing. My pub one next week was just from going round dropping leaflets and speaking to managers and they called me a few days later to arrange it!
  • oops, landlady OR landlord......
