    Evening ladies,

Im sorry that some of your are leaving us this month, for getting rid of your kit, my area manager takes ex consultants kits to the next team meeting and sells everything half price or less and gives the money back to the consultant, as consultants dont mind buying stuff thats open and been used for showing purposes.

It is hard to get back into it and it can be tough if you've had a good christmas with tbsh then its hard to cope with struggling to get parties when you can be in demand in the run up to christmas. Its always been this way. This is my 3rd year doing it and every year iv struggled in jan. I wont lie you have to get off your butt and work a lot harder over the next 6 months, just to keep afloat.

Im having my own party in jan for family/friends and so far iv managed to get 1 other party booked, people keep saying the same thing over and over....cant afford it. So it is hard, the main reason i do it is i know if i can keep myself ticking over (the £150 over 3 months) and stay active then i will again have a cracking winter and pay for this years christmas again. So thats my motivation to keep going.

We are all here for support, so over the next few months ladies if people find there parties picking up again, please comeon here and share what experiences you have had and what you have done to help motivate the rest of us and keep us going this year.

    Luv Hez xxx
  • Hi

I get the general idea (I think) as to what TBSAH entails but is it just hosting parties or are there other ways of making money from it? I'm not a very open, confident person and don't think I'd have the nerve to do parties in front of strangers. I love TBS stuff though and if I'm brutally honest, I could certainly do with the extra pennies at the moment. It's not something I'd want to do forever though - I have another career which I'm currently working towards which is something I've wanted to do for literally years. But I'm just wondering if by doing TBSAH can help me out for a bit in the meantime.

    Any info greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

Hi Polkadotty, where abouts are you based? We could find you someone local to you to talk to you about it all.

You can make money from doing what are called parties in a bag, where you take a catalogue to someone and they get all the orders from their friends and then you put it through as a party and they get the free shopping depending on their sales. This would mean that you don't need to be at a party, but you would have to do host coaching to encourage them to get lots of sales.

I have found that doing BSAH has boosted my confidence, and I have found it easier doing parties for people i don't know rather than friends, as i feel there is less pressure to be perfect with strangers!
Anyway have a look at the first page of this thread and see if anyone is in your area, then you can see about chatting with them about the possibility of joining.

    Welcome to the thread :)

  • I was looking at the business tools does anyone know what HOST REWARD VOUCHERs 2009 are? x
  • At our meeting our regional manager suggested putting two or three on the table at the party and saying, the first people to pick them up will receive a reward for booking a party (shower gel or something) and that you will confirm dates and times with them after the demo. People hate missing out so you are part way to getting bookings. If others definately want to book a party, you could suddenly find another in your bag.

I havea couple of parties at the end of the month and none for Feb so far, hoping to build on that.

Could you add me to the first page please, I am in West Suffolk.
    many thanks

They talk about the new host reward programme, they state that they get thier £25 free thank you gift and upto 70% off shopping.

Our managers said that because they host system was so confusing before they never really had vouchers.

But they said that now it's easier to understand they've put it on a voucher because everyone loves vouchers!! It's got all the T&C's on it too :)

whats this voucher? i'm very confused about the new host reward scheme, whats different?

I have 4 parties in January, so I guess thats a good number for this time of year?

Going to the back to work regional meeting would have been a good idea but it's just so far away from me and a drain after a full day at work.

So if anyone can explain the new scheme and anything else important that would help!

    Thanks

The new host rewards scheme is basically that if the party value is £150 then the host gets £25 shopping for free. If it's over £230 (not sure about the figure) then she also gets £100 at 70% off and more at 70% off the higher the party value.
The voucher has the T&C's on the back and I think will be really good tool once we've all figured out how to use it. If you're not sure about it speak to your AM or buy the vouchers or both. I think it's a simpler system but it'll just take us all a little while to get used to the change.
  • The new reward system is so much better. Only costs us £2.50 no matter how much the party sales are. The hostess gets £25 free shopping on all levels and then 70% off up to certain amounts if she wants. There are only 5? levels now instead of how eva many there were before so makes life a lot easier for us. The rewards are loads better as the hostess gets more. We should be getting something in the post within the next week. I do have the new levels and rewards wrote down somewhere but can't find it at the mo! If i find it i will let you all know. Vic x
