  • I find sometimes more people dont always mean more sales. Its harder to keep their attention and I end up with smaller order values.

  • I always do a demonstration on the host, but maybe I'm just not selling the benefits of each product loud enough as I use it! Sold a Vit E ultimate collection to the host the other day after she had had her mini facial!

I had a party of 5 people on Monday and got £180 of sales and a party of 14 (yes 14!!) people on Weds and only got £160! The 14 were all chatting amongst each other and I had a sore throat so couldn't shout at them so maybe I should have taken the products round rather than just passing them round and trying to speak over them. Oh well learn from my mistakes!! I'm aiming for much better party sales from now on....fingers crossed!

2 parties booked for Feb and may do one myself to get some nice goodies with the host discount!!
  • I have just registered with The bodyshop at Home yesterday and I am trying to get my first 6 parties booked for my success start. Im going to do the first party myself and I have 1 booked for definate and 3 others where I'm waiting for a date from them. Does anyone have any tips on how to get some extra parties. I'm not sure what to tell people what they will get as I dont have my training until Tuesday so I dont know what the promotions are. Also, if anyone has anything, such as party games, raffles etc that would help me could you let me know.

    Thanks

I think that I am in the same boat as you, but I'm just starting out anyway so I'm taking it as a learning curb. Might try and plan a party of my own for a few weeks time just to up my sales a bit too...

Wouldn't mind getting together in person with a few ladies in my area for a hints and tips day or even 'shadowing' a top seller, just to see how I can improve my parties and sales. Anyone keen for that?

    Ladies,

Can anyone suggest a foundation that is perfect for people with very rosy cheeks? My host has tried everything and I am not sure what to recommend. She has fair skin and would just like to cover them up a bit.

    All suggestions very welcome!

Are there any tips on what sells well when it's demonstrated? I've found that the vitamin c skin boost flies.

Vit C skin boost has always been a best seller for me too. My other top sellers are the hemp hand cream - its good to walk around dispensing this yourself though, rather than passig it around, as if they squeeze too much out they'll think its greasy.
The other one which I've found good to demonstrate is the Spa Wisdom salt scrub - its lovely, and I always sell a few when I demonstrate it.

Good luck everyone, I'm giving this up as I need to get a proper job with regular guaranteed income, I just can't seem to make this work well enough for me. I've had a good time though, and got some lovely products out of it!!

You could try a green base corrector cream for rosy cheeks or any redness areas, its help neutralise the redness and then you could use any foundation over the top. Not sure if body shop sell one though.

Sad to see you go sarah, are you going to continue until you get a job? Then it may fit together quite well?

I still don't have many parties this month, i am finding it difficult to get back into it this month. I suppose i should just get out there and call more people, then i should be able to get at least one more party for this month, i have two in the last couple of days!

Good luck to all you starters, there are party games mentioned throughout this thread, or maybe your region has its own website, mine is https://www.angelswithattitude.biz there are some good ideas on there for parties and other ways to get more bookings.

This is great fun and can make some money so i hope you enjoy it :)

    Hi Ally

I have very rosy cheeks & I use the moisture foundation & it covers them up really well! The mineral foundation is also very good if you layer it on... the offer in the catalogue with the foundation & brush includes a dvd showing how to put it on properly so you could recommend either of those.
