With this one the order form it says that you are limited to 3 per order. Is that of each item or 3 items in total?

    Thanks

    Lauren

    3 of each item
  • Hi girls, just had my worst party to date, did just under £90 my lowest so far has been about £200 so this is a massive drop.

I sell the raffle tickets £1 for one and £2 for 3. I give them a shower gel and a bath lilly, nout else lol

KimKim- have you got most of the products or just your basic kit? if you only have your kit, borrow of your AM (if she will) so you can show everything.

Hi all, sorry to hear a few of you have had rubbish parties in the last few days. I'm sure it wasn't your fault though, some people just don't spend, you just happened to get them all in one room! Hope you next ones are much better for you.

I have the pamper/shopping evening tomorrow, still not sure I'm going to do it. it will cost me £10 for a table for 2 hours and at the last one the table cost me £20 and I made one pound in 6 hours! Haven't actually heard from the organiser in weeks so I will call her in the morning and see if it's been advertised etc

  • ragz did you get any party bookings at the last one you did though?? I'd say it'd make it worth going if you can advertise Jan detox parties maybe and get that booked up.
i did a table at a fundraiser not long ago, didn't think I'd get many orders but was hoping to get more bookings and didn't get any! I did get £80 of orders though (the table was only a fiver) so maybe it'll surprise you.

How do you hear of these things just out of interest, did someone approach you about it? My AM put me on to the fundraiser I did and she just shares them out to the girls in the area as they come.
I was thinking about organising a ladies shopping/pamper evening myself at a restaurant bar thing in a big leisure centre near me as my friend works there, can we just organise them ourselves? Has anyone else done this? I have contacts with 2 women who sell jewellery and one who does candle parties so thought I could get in touch with them about it?

  • Hey,
Im new here just saw this topic and thought i would post.

I went to a body shop party on friday night and have been convinced to join as a consulant.
First of all i just wondered how old most of you were because im only 18 and just a bit nervous has to how i am going to find people - well mainly the first 6 parties to hold! As obviously i can use friends but being students lots are skint.
Also by the time i have had my training it etc it could well be past xmas, how easy is it to get parties/sell items then?
Those of you who say you put up leaflets etc. are these special body shop ones or just your own made ones?

Any tips would be very helpful, thanks

  • Haven't posted in a while but have been reading the posts. Had a party on Friday night which I thought would be really good, but ended with sales of only £173.

Two of the girls were going out after the part and proceeded to use all the make up to get ready for their night out!

I really want to hit the level for getting some of the new Moroccan Rose range, so I literally been sending out emails with the catalogue, handing out catalogues to family members to take into work, sending texts the lot. Also offering 10% of total orders for one week only.

I only have one more party before the end of November which is on Tuesday and since one can't predict the future, I'm trying to have a back up plan to hit the sales level.

Taking some more catalogues into work to promote the 20% off.

Hope I have a good week this week :)

    Alexa, Welcome to body shop,

I signed up a few weeks ago now and im still very nervous im 23 but one of my friends is 18 too who joined up too and she has being very nervous. I think the only way to get over your nerves is to do them as best as u can, as for gettin parties your friends can have them as they could get orders from uni etc family and friends, u also need to stress that hosting a Body Shop party costs the hostess NOTHING, aslong as they get the orders they will get lots free. you can host a party and also do catologues drops round neighbours and collect them back and make people aware of the offers that are on at the min like the 20% off xmas gifts and the hostess gift for november and december. At the minute i have a few friends that don't like the idea of having parties so what i have done starting from tomorrow giving them party in a bag which is basically they get the orders and it still goes through as a party and u get your sales and my friends also get the same benefits that you would get for having a party.

Ive not done any leaflets as yet but im on about doing them as could do with a few more parties espesh for next jan, im going to post them through doors and hopefully get sum people to put them up in shops or sumthing.

Ive only being to one training session so fair but ive being going to parties with other consultants if you ask your Area manager if you can go with her and that will elp u for your 1st party. As for selling products just do some research which you can find on your account when u get your ID number etc.

Try and get parties now and don't forget to tell them about the great offer on at the minute :):) hope this helps you as i no what it feels like when you get started.

  • Hi alexa,

I made home made flyers, I put The Body Shop Logo in the corner and printed them off at home then just put them up in newsagents, Co-ops etc around my area. Charges vary from 50p - £2 I found per week, but a little tip is the Co-op's don't charge, well not the ones near me anyway!

    xx

    sorry about my spelling before!
Thanks for your advice, its teh 6 parties in 3 weeks that scares me. Im usually okay infront of people aslong as i know what im doing so im sure i will be fine aslong as i can find my first few sets of parties. The party in a bag etc sounds like a good idea. When you say you go round dropping off catalogues round the neighbourhood.. how do you then see if they want to order? = sorry probably a dumb question.
I am going to talk to a manger on the phone in a couple of days. Oh and sorry one last question- is training always on a week day as im still at college and dont want to miss too much of it!
    thanks Kim
