The Body Shop At Home (Hints and tips)

  • Thanks for that bodyshopbabe. I'll live and learn I suppose!

I was wondering if someone can give me some advice on booking future parties from party guests. I'm doing quite well in party sales, but these are the 7 parties that I booked in when I first registered and I only have three of them left and haven't made any new party bookings at parties so far.

I know some people on here get two bookings at nearly every party so your tips would be much appreciated. I'm worried that I'm going to have these three parties and then crash and burn. I rang a lady today who is a good friend of my mum and asked her about having a party, she had shown interest at a party last week and I put her an incentive in her order and wrote her a note and put it in her delivery, but on the phone it was so awkward, I don't feel comfortable doing this on the phone so bookings at parties seem the best option. Do people specifically do a bit all about hosting a party?

I didn't end up doing the raffle until late last night and when I opened all the prize draw slips there were three people who had ticked the party box. Now I don't know about calling those people to follow up, I hate it! Maybe I could text them?

Please help, its really tainting my enjoyment of this worrying that this wont last beyond Christmas!
    Thanks xx

  • If they have shown interest then nothing to worry about. Just ring them up saying you have noticed their interest and was just wondering what dates they would like? Highlight the new savings and if new year then highlight the sale. Its not cold calling if they have ticked the box and I find it easier than booking on the night.

  • I would recommend that any orders you have with gift on them already taken you put them through tonight, otherwise once the 20% off kicks in this will ffect the host rewards!
  • Syn I agree with keepingpositive, I would feel uncomfortable being pushy but if people have ticked the box about a party then they will want to be called!
Getting bookings at parties - I wasn't sure how to go about this at first, I put a regime bag together and pass it around as the booking gift, I highlight dates on my booking sheets with extra offers on and display these at the party, also let people know if they book in Jan they'll be hosting in the Jan sale so will be getting more for their money in free/half price shopping and possibly some extra bits too. I also tried at one party taking a gift bag along with me and wrapping up in tissue paper some little gifts, just incentives like a soap or the 30ml foot lotion which only costs us 20p, and then invited people to take a 'lucky dip' when they booked a party with me. May sound a bit childish but worked for me because it intrigues people when they don't know what they're going to get!
Also at one party I offered a free raffle ticket to a lady who hadn't brought any change with her when I was taking money for the raffle and taht got her to book one!
I always make a point of starting the party with a welcome to everyone and a special thankyou to the host then I give her a bottle of wine or something in front of everyone and say it's an extra gift for hosting the party aswell as what she'll be recieving at the end of the night through the HRP etc...

Noticed someone mentioned being emailed some xmas party games and wondered if someone could poss email me some please? I always do the COTE left/right story with a little gift but except for that never done a game until my last party and it went down really well and really livened up the party but it's the only one I know!

    Thanks
    xx

    DRAW A PIG

    PERSONALITY ANALYSIS
If the pig is drawn towards the top of the paper you are positive and optimistic –towards the middle you are a realist. Towards the bottom you are pessimistic, and have a tendency to behave negatively.

Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly and remember dates. Facing right, you are innovative and active, but don’t have a strong sense of family, nor do you remember dates. Facing front you are direct, enjoy playing devil’s advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions.

Lots of details, you are cautious and distrustful. Few details you are emotional and naïve, you care little for details and are a risk taker.

Legs – with less than 4 legs showing, you are insecure or a living through a period of major change.

With 4 legs showing, you are secure stubborn, and stick to your ideals.

Ears – The size of the ears indicates how good a listener you are.
    The bigger the better.

Tails – the length of the tail indicates the quality of your sex life. The bigger the tail the better.
    WHO DIDN’t DRAW A TAIL??????

    HANDBAG GAME
You ask your ladies to put their bags on their laps and then call out letters and they have to be the first to get an item out of their bag starting with that letter. You need to keep score, but do five letters and the one with the most points, wins. Simple
    but fun.
