  • Hi Cheeky Emma,

I found bookings outside of the friends and family by doing a couple of fundraisers. I at the childrens centre my fist. Sales were a failiure at £80 but I did get a booking and some interest in the new year. Aslo guides which saw £190 sales and two confirmed bookings and one in the new year. A catalogue drop round the my street and the next saw no orders but I have a booking.

The six in the first six weeks wasnt too hard to be honest especially at this time of year and people do seem interested in the new year sale.

    Hi

I've been doing TBSAH since July, but I'm new to this website.
Can you add me to the list of names on the first post please?
    I'm Sarah, I'm in Northampton

    Thanks

I agree with what has been posted already. If you have a look at the first page of the thread you can find the Consultant closest to you and they can arrange for their Area Manager to come and speak to you. It's really informal and you are under no obligation at all to sign up - you won't be under any pressure.

The reason I say to do this is because when I interview potential recruits, I go through their phone book with them and it really is surprising how many people you know and can ask when you start physically writing a list.

I have an 11 month old and I started doing this when Charlie was the same age as your baby and I found that the mums at the mums and tots group where we go were really supportive and held parties for me. Do you go to any groups at all?

There is currently an offer where you can join for £25 but this ends midday Friday so you will have to move quick. The usual cost is £95 so really is a good deal as you will get kit worth over £600. Once you start partying it really is up to you how much you spend on incentives and samples. You can "win" various products in your first 6 weeks if you hit certain sales levels to build your kit up and there are always products up for grabs each month if you hit certain levels. This way you can build your kit without having to pay extra money out.

Hope this answers some of your queries.

    Hi everyone I'M BACK!!!!!
I will read back through the thread in a moment but just wanted to say hi hope you are all doing well and welcome to all the newcomers!
Have had no laptop for over a week (don't know how I survived it!) but it's been fixed today (I gave up and called a guy to fix it but only cost me £30 so very pleased with him) and I am now back online at last. Couldn't even use any one else's as 5 other people I know have had their PCs break this week!

I made success start 2 and the stuff is on my allocations so very pleased with that but my only booked party postponed until December so I guess I won't be very busy this month! I'm going to take catalogues into toddler group and ask if I can set up a stand their but I haven't been able to go for a few weeks as both kids have been ill.
Both the xmas sellers I signed up are considering joining on the £25 offer. It does sound good but they only have until Friday morning to get their 8 booked so really hope they manage it.

Really missed this forum and so glad to be back!

  • Hi All
Doing 2 Xmas fetes at schools next week, and I know my AM would say don't buy anything to sell - but the teachers organising saying that little gifts sell easily. I was thinking about buying items from business tools and making my own little gift packs up!!???
So, in a bag I was going to put a bath lily, cassis rose shower gel and cassis rose body lotion. In another bag I was planning on putting white musk blush shower gel, body lotion and a bath lily.
Both of these packs would only cost about £3 to put together - how much do you think I could sell them for??? The small gift sets have no more in and cost £6.
I did order some medium cellophane bags but they are huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know what logo "bag regime" are?!!?!?

Regime bags are a bit more heavy duty plastic, with a drawstring top, a bit wider than the small plastic bags.

I'm wondering what to do as the small plastic bags are out of stock, and I've used up my supply. I've brought some of the bits you mentioned to package together as raffle prizes.

  • Regime bags are slightly smaller than the mediem cellophane with a drawstring top. They are meant for building and dispalying collections inhowever I have used them for gifts before. They aren't as nice looking as the cellophane. Have you thought about getting the florist stuff that has been mentioned on here before?
For small gifts amphoras and would be good. They are a good seller and a low price, plus if there are kiddies arounbd they like the shine so may be able to sell them as decorations!!

I would really like to start something like this as have just become a single parent to a 3 year old and a 7 week old. Am currently on Mat leave and facing possible redundancy along with having to cover all the household bills and mortgage myself now.

This would be great for me to do both now and also if I go back to work - would love to get on board asap as can get in for xmas then. I live in West Sussex - what do I need to do?
