Well I went to my first team meeting last night and have training scheduled for tomorrow night so getting all excited and scared all at the same time lol!!
I seen a little while back some tips on using your local BS store as a good place to perhaps get some parties etc. Could anyone give me some hints or tips on approaching the store to ask them and I'm also a bit unsure how I would work this, do you set up a table or just approach cutomers direct??
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Sarah
I work in store and I would say that they are definitely a good place of picking up bookings at the moment. Just give the store a call and ask to speak to the manager. Introduce yourself and ask whether you could go in store to speak to customers at x date and x time.
BIG TIP - there is a Love Your Body event on 11th December all day where customers with a loyalty card will be invited in store to save 20% on all purchases. This is a massive event and you are likely to pick up extra bookings if you can go in for a couple of hours on this day!!
Make sure you turn up on time wearing your t shirt if you have one. You don't need a table most consultants hang around by the make up demo area. Take some free prize draw slips as an opener for conversation and will give you full details for calling them back at a later date if not interested in a party there and then.
It would probably be a good idea to speak to the store manager first to see if he/she has any expectations and you can tell them what you will be doing. I.e, don't speak to their customers and say something like "did you know that you could host a party with me and get a lot of your christmas shopping for free" as you will be taking business away from them and you will definitely NOT be invited back.
Most managers are more than happy for us consultants to go in store just as long as all involved are aware of what you will be doing and how you intend doing it.
Hope this helps.

Hope someone can help!
I need some ideas, my friend seems to have the wrong ideea of how a body shop party works, but I need to set her straight without putting her off! She seems to be under the impression that the party will just be held at her house, but has suggested I contact our friends to see what date would be best and do the inviting. To me this is her task and what she ultimately gets the rewards for - if I were to arrange one I'd be having the free shopping for myself not giving it to her! I'm doing a big push this week to get some bookings, so don't really have time to do this for her, but how to say this without a sounding like I'm being funny?!
Any advice would be much appreciated, has anyone had this before? xxNST September: SFD 17/20, food £62.87/£60, travel £61.55/£40, Outings £39.80/£100, Allotment £7.17/£30 Other: £42.32, Meditation ?/30.

Thats brill, thanks v much. I'll give the store a call today and see if the 11th would be a goer:T0 -

I'd just be straight with her. It's probably best to do it sooner rather than later as it'll just be harder to tell her later on. Make a point of doing the host coaching in person and go through the host pack showing her the invites etc and then she should catch on it's her job to do the inviting!
I haven't had that situation before TBH I can see that it may be difficult. Just make a joke of it with her or if you don't think she would see the funny side explain that if she gets 12 people to her party you will give her a gift bag worth £5 (incentives/samples/cotton wool pads etc), again hopefully she will catch on!
Good luck!

These are going to be half price in January for the sales. Our new catalogue will feature the sets at half price, therefore customers could buy the scrub, butter and get for £13!!
Hows everyone doing anyway?? not been on here for ages!!
we been doing it 6 weeks now ... make sucess start level 3, which we pleased about :-)
Hi you two not seen you around in a while glad to hear all is well with you both. I am really pleased this months has been going fantastic so far, I have got two recruits and 2 ladies who are also very interested so fingers crossed for them. I have just put an order through this morning which takes me over £1600 for this month again, and I still have 4 parties to go so am thinking I might have a nice little bonus from November.
Only 1 party in Dec for me as I go away on the 2nd-19th to Florida but I have 3 bookings for January too.
Above all I am really enjoying it all, have been getting great feedback from customers etc too which is nice.

Have you found getting bookings for January quite easy? Have you been offering incentives for January bookings or are you simply able to get parties by talking about the sale?
I've got parties Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. Have only done 1 party this month so far so only on £250 but have a £70 order to put through from sister in law. I really want to get to £1600 but it seems very far away at the moment. Hoping for some good sales from my parties this week.
My 2nd recruit signed up yesterday under the £25 deal and has her 8 parties booked already - so pleased for her she is lovely.
Good luck to all partying this week.

well all 3 are ladies who have already partied with me and I have just managed to get them by talking about the sale and the simply purify range I am planning to do detox parties.
Hope this helps,

hi everyone,
I am considering joining as a consultant, i'm a full time mum to a 6month baby and need some extra cash, but I would alos like to get out and the house and have some adult company lol!
I have a couple of reservations though i ve just read that you have to have 6 parties within 3 weeks, which seems abit daunting, i havent many friends so i wouldnt be able to get any bookings this way, is it as hard as im imagining? also can someone tell me the amount of comitment financially? I did Avon once and ended up spending all my earnings on samples etc which were a waste of time!
Any advice would be appreciated!Reclaimed Charges £2433

Hi cheekyemma
Welcome to the board. I've been doing TBSAH since the end of September so I'm fairly new to it too. Its a great time to join at the moment cos you can get the kit for just £25. When I joined I thought I got a good offer cos I paid £50 but this is even better. I had to ring around friends and family, and even mums from the playground at school. I got my bookings quite quickly tho. I'm sure if you really think about it you could get 6 parties. For one party you could have it at home which is perfectly acceptable, and then you can keep the free host shopping for yourself. And I bet if you write a list of everyone you know, friends, family, ex work colleagues, neighbours etc you would find that you can get to your target. Plus if you tell them you are just starting out and need to get parties i as a practice most friends are happy to help you out.
Financially its up to you. I would say its a lot more financially rewarding than Avon, which I used to do too. Your kit includes catalogues and invitations and everything you need for your first 10 or so parties. samples are available but are about £2.80 for 20 sachets. Again, its up to you whether you get them or not because people can try out the products at your parties. Its something you can build up as and when. Plus if you reach certain targets each month you get new products provided for free!!
Hope this helps
