Good morning! Holidays are playing havoc with my old style computer time!
Weather started to brighten up and then the showers came back, just as I was out with the dog!
dd2 has gone off to her friend's house to have her hair cut, apparently they both want a pob?! Hope she doesn't develop the originator's expensive habits, bit difficult on her pocket money though!
dd3 is out playing with her friends in the village, all marauding through all the houses, I just take cover and offer snacks and drinks when they appear! dd1 is slumped on the sofa watching telly and haven't yet seen ds yet, he must've exhausted himself starting the windowsill varnishing yesterday for me!
Something with mince for tea, prob shepherd's pie given the weather. Nothing else planned for today, except w**k tonight!
Hope everyone has a good day xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hello all
Another very hot day...........washing on the line drying nice and quick.....just as well as our youngest lad changes his t-shirts with his moods I think.............he got up, put a clean one on and just grabbed a different one to go out..................lol
Oldest boy not at work again.................says his phone alarm didn't go off but youngest lad woke him at half six, I woke him again at 7am...........so I'm beginning to wonder whether he's actually got a job to go to anymore. He's now gone off round his mates............
Builder was due but is now coming tomorrow (had a feeling that would happen), OH is getting some ink for me so I can press on with sons 40th birthday card and apart from that, I'm not doing a lot today..........too hot !
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((:o )))))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Well the vet's just phoned and the dog is ok he's just coming round and they have managed to remove all the growth the wound is about 10cm's long so quite big but they still don't know what it was so it has to be sent away to find out I now have to phone about 3 to see how he is and when he can come home
the mil situation well it's complicated when her and fil divorced dh two brothers sided with their dad as mil wouldn't tell them all the gory details so for years there was no contact and she used to see my kid's on a regular basis then one of my bil got back in touch with his mum fair enough I have no problem with that but he has 3 kid's and because they live nearer mil just seemed to forget mine and just concentrate on them
it's made awkward by the fact I can't drive the long distance to her house otherwise I would take them to her
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you
I am one of the English sexy Shelias

Bonjour mes amis :hello:
We got back from France late last night so I haven’t had a chance to catch up with anyone yet. I have gathered that snowy is gainfully employed once again :T but that’s about it. I hope everyone else is well.
We had a wonderful holiday…the weather was fantastic, the campsite was amazing, the Loire was lovely and the boys made lots of friends so Mr Pink and I had lots of quality time too. We swam in the lake and the pool every day, went horse riding, did zip wires through the forest, went go karting, did lots of walks, ate scrumptious food and did lots of relaxing. I’ve got some Old Style pics for you but I'll need to wait for ds to upload them from the camera. Unfortunately now that we’re back I’ve come down to earth with a bump….
We gave the cat her monthly flea treatment the day we left so instead of living off her, the fleas jumped off and decided to live in the house instead. Dd did her best with flea spray but somehow she managed to break the vacuum cleaner so the carpets haven’t been hoovered for almost three weeks. :wall: As a result we were greeted by an army of fleas doing a highland fling round the house when we came home. Also Dd is not a gardener so leaving my veg in her care probably wasn’t the most sensible idea. Despite being told that they needed watered daily, because it rained each day while we were away, she thought they didn’t need to be watered. My tomato plants, broad beans and courgettes, are dead.I'm probably just being a stupid idiot but I grew them all from seed and I'm really upset about it.
Although not the best homecoming it was great to see dd in one piece and I suppose I should be grateful that she didn’t manage to burn the house down and doesn’t appear to have had any wild parties. She did forget to put the bins out though and somehow thought if she hid the rubbish in black bin liners in the garage we might not notice.
So my plans for today are a trip to the dump, to try to fix/buy a new vacuum cleaner, go to the vets for super duper flea spray that may actually kill the blighters, decide what plants are worth trying to revive and compost the rest, unpack the car and think of something for tea. I think I need a holiday!

mrs mix Its so annoying isnt it I have a similar problem
(((jayward)))
just about to take some rolls out of the oven and we are having ham sandwiches
then going to do some gardening ( if it doesnt rain:rotfl: )
do you think its too late in the season to start a veg plot. I have taken down the kids climbing frame from the bottom of the garden (they have outgrown it honest!) and the space is ideal for a plot. bit of a beginner in this field so any advice greatfully received

JackieO - congratulations on reaching the end of your treatment and finger's crossed that you get signed off for the next year, it must be such a lovely relief.
mrsmix - glad your dog is ok now!
To all those who haven't seen Mumma Mia, go now! It's absolutely fab, such a feel good film, guess we'll all be able to identify each other easily by the soundtrack in our cars! I've copied my cd so I can have it in the house upstairs, downstairs and in the car lol! Kids are very tolerant of my batty ways now, though my friend did raise his eyebrows when he followed me down the road, wasn't long till a text arrived asking if I was practising as the fifth member of Abba! Hey, I like singing along, loudly!
Moliere - we went for a walk along Weston seafront on Sunday evening, thankfully we didn't go on it, as I would've been convinced that dd3 had something to do with the disaster! It was awful yesterday, and it just looks very sad now, though the Kerry Michael says they will rebuilt it all.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
