kaat lady ((((hugs)))) to you too. Take care of yourself. Don't stop posting just because you feel down. We are quite a supportive bunch, you know.
floss2 I vaguely remember Mary, Mungo and Midge - Andy Pandy, Roobarb & Custard and Willo the Wisp were my favourites. :o

We have had torrential downpours off and on all evening but they haven't helped lift the oppressive humidity one bit so I imagine its another night of tossing and turning. Oh well, I have my trusty sudoku book on my bedside table.

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep. Bye. xx

Just wanted to say big hug to Kaat-Lady.

If you do get your breathing problem sorted out then it could make all the difference to how you feel.

Please don't feel you can't come on here because you are feeling down - that is what we are for!!!

    PP - glad you're home again x

Pippa.S - glad your friend got through a very difficult day x

I remember all the TV programmes too, Mary Mungo and Midge, Chrystal tips, Mr Ben, hectors house, Andy pandy, plus Camberwick Green;)

Had an online electric bill earlier and nearly died of shock - we have a pre-payment meter and our bill was over £500(since October)  we have got over £300 to find if the bill is right but I am contesting it as they should set the meter to cover the bill, the whole point of a prepayment meter is so that you dont get in debt and that the bill is covered. According to the meter we are £6 in credit. There is nothing on the meter to say we owe them anything. I have read the meter and sent them our reading and will be on to them first thing in the morning, couldn't get through earlier:mad: There's no way we can pay it so they had better sort it out.
    Rant over:D

see you all in the morning!

I'm a Camberwick Green / Trumpton / Chigley girl myself, with a bit of Andy Pandy & Pogle's Wood early on! I'm also a Clangers / Mr Benn / Bagpuss fan.... can you guess that we only had BBC?

Your meter shouldn't be capable of being set below the actual minimum charge - if it is, then the supplying company should come & reset it as soon after any rise in charges as possible. That may be what they say - that it "is because our charges have gone up". When did they last come out to it, and when have your unit charges been raised (if at all) since then? (Used to work for a leccy co several jobs ago!)

    Bigs hugs to Chrisca.
Kaatlady.....hope you feel better soon and there we all were laughing with you about your fall, let's hope it's nothing serious and you get the sleep problem sorted....I have had a mental image of you and OH lying there side by side with your masks on.
AnnieStar, good to see you back posting, have a lovely day tomorrow.
Taplady, have a look on the utilities board, it seems that this has happened to a few people, the unit price has gone up, but they haven't re-set the meter...it really is awful, especially when you are paying over the odds for your units, just for the peace of mind that you are not getting into debt.

Can I join the stroppy DDs club also, mine is just about managing to crawl out of bed by lunchtime. I have just been and unplugged the landline, one way of ending a call :D

Love to all The Twit :grouphug:

Had a long and busy day. Running around in preparation for the old folks lunch club tomorrow and visiting DS3 and GF who came back from Egypt. I got a lovely bowl, DH got some Egyptian wine. My gift was lovely, the wine is...............mmm not lovely:rotfl:

Welcome back Pink, even if I am now scratching for Britain:rotfl: I just had a tickle on my arm, thought it was imagination, but it was a garden spider crawling along:eek: I've almost hit the ceiling and the spider has gone goodness knows where:rotfl: Hope you manage to evict your unwelcome guests soon:D I learned the hard way to instruct the stay at home kids, that the baskets and tubs had to be watered every day, rain or not. It really is heartbreaking to see your efforts reduced to compost material. Hope some can be saved.

chrisca, (((hugs))) there's nothing else to say.

    (((hugs)))) to all in need.
