    Almo happy birthday
JackieO What a lovely post. Fantastic :j :j

As ever got loads to tell you. Firstly I have "avoided" the boards in general (apart from some horse related stuff and a pop music thread) as I have had a family member staying with me and didn't want to go into anything deep (if you see what I mean)
DH seems to be recovering his breathing is getting better and he is looking brighter.
The Phoebe situation is still somewhat uncertain .The new vet is FANTASTIC and we are very happy with him. He REGULARLY phones to see how she is going on (She ia on anti-biotics for a month) The last tests came back showing infection not anything more serious. He gave us a gel that is packed with vitamins and minerals and she loves it. So she is getting some goodness, but she is still not eating very much and has lost such a lot of weight. The new vet was shocked to see the x rays that our previous vet charged us so much for they were under exposed and in his opinion of no use at all. So again we wait.
I hope I haven't missed anything major please excuse my absence but did miss you all LOADS.
Family wise we have not yet got a date for the inquest but other things are being sorted.
Am not going to say hi to anyone else as I am NOT going to hurt or offend anyone by omission. HUGS to you all. Think DH is "up to something" so am rather intrrigued, we will see. Anyway, will go now and (depending on DH and his "plan") will post tomorrow.
Have a nice evening and as ever, thank you for your kindness, love and care.

    Chrisca,

I was so sorry to read about your mum. Your day puts my silly mumping and moaning into perspective. I'm glad that you got through today and hope that you continue to feel calm and relieved. Losing your mum is possibly one of the worst things that can happen. It's twenty years this week since my mum died and I still miss her. Sending you lots of hugs.

I loved "The Cold Moon" and Deaver is one of my favourite authors.

Took DD(14) to York to get her hair cut, then went to nandos and after that got her ears pierced.

Managed to buy myself a new top and some brown linen trousers in the slaes and got the new Atkins diet book from a charity shop for £2.50 instead of about £8! Also a top from next for £5 instead of about £26!

DH goes to Whitby tomorrow and has suggested me and DD come with him in the car and while he has a meeting we both spend a couple of hours in Whitby.

Evening all - long time no see

Well we had my mum's funeral today which went well. Although, obviously, I shed quite a few tears today, I am still feeling calm and relieved, really, that she is now at peace. Am slowly dealing with all her bills and paperwork etc and am getting there.

Looking forward to becoming a regular on here again and chatting about our day to day routines and lives. This is my third week off from work but will go back to work on Thursday and it will, I think, be comforting to get back into a routine again.

    Hugs to all

    :grouphug:

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt......3 years on Thursday since my mum died, 17 years since my dad died.

It does get easier.......different & very strange until you get 12 months & one of every occasion out of the way, but slowly slightly easier.

Anniebooklover - Oh, yes.......I've had that haircut too! Do you remember Mary, Mungo & Midge?

Squiggly - when I first read that, I thought YOU had thrown her tea all over the floor.....:rotfl:

Elona - I love Whitby...we used to go to the Magpie Cafe for fish & chips, it's the best place ever!

I used to post on the DFW board, now I'm more of an OS-er.....with a bit of Weddings thrown in....;)

AnnieStar, lovely to see you back & that's good news about the new vet & Phoebe too. I would definitely be writing a letter of complaint to previous vet's.... ((((hugs)))) to you and your family, hope things gradually settle for you all.

(((((((((((kaat-lady))))))))) too, keep your chin up chuck. But no more falling through ceilings.
