Morning Guys,
One more day til WI. I am just hoping it says 16 something as I was 17st last week but then I did over do it at the weekend as you know  Please please let it be 16 something. Even if it's just 16st 13 3/4 lb I'll be happy
I thought I heard the toad last night around 7ish and the Malt loaf in the cupboard starting calling me. I had visions of eating a few slices but that quickly turned to the whole loaf so I avoided it completely. Still obviously not strong enough to test myself with malt loaf
I am quite looking forward to trying the homemade soup. Although I have to say please ignore MeanMarie when she tries to make you all believe I'm a fussy fart, that's such a slur on my good character and completely untruenote to Marie ~ Thanks Gran! Telling them all our family secrets!I'll do exactly as you suggested with 3 of me favs first though :A
Anyway off to do some tidying up. Meeting up with Mr Frogs sisters and tadpoles later to all go for a walk although the weather looks bleak so it might be called off
Have a good day everyone xxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Wholeheartedly agree about the marigold bouillon powder...really tasty. Frogga, you are such a fussy-**ickers about food that I think the best idea is that you cook equal amounts of at least 3 veg that you like by covering with veggie stock , then if you don't have any kind of blender, mash the whole lot and eat...one veg that I consider essential is onion, so I would suggest that you use that in all soups, with things like carrot and parsnip, sweet potato and leek, potato and squash, tin of tomatoes plus tin of water, any leftover veg just heated through in the stock and onion, When you have found two or three combinations you like, try adding something else, like beans, peas, lentils, other veg and just puddle around until you get three or four soups that you really like...go on, you can do it, tell us about it when you have got the knack and don't be so negative about tofu...try it, it won't kill you, but will give you some protein and you might even like it.
Marie
I buy cauldron tofu - 1.47 Mr T. Open pack, rinse, cut into four pieces then slice each of these pieces through the middle so they are half as thin. Rub or brush some oil on each side and grill for a couple of mins, serve with soya sauce if you like. I have it with salad, stir fry, tatoes, rice, pasta, anything really. Myself, DD and OH love it, DS doesn't. Frogga - offer some to the tadpoles etc to try and maybe it won't be so daunting - you'll only waste a little if you hate it. I did freeze some a while back and haven't tried it from frozen yet apparantly it changes texture.
Re cauliflower - this is so expensive fresh I use Mr T frozen 85p a pack. Very easy to use in place of mash.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Morning ladies,
I'm kn*ckered this morning, another fight in the street last night just as I'd gone to bed  Usual druggie neighbours plus half the area I think:mad: police arrived about 11.30 and were still about this morning! I tried to sleep with earplugs but it's not a good idea on a work day so I gave up and went for an early swim  With everything else going on at the moment I need some relaxation. (On top of everything else exOH has his cancer op on Monday so I'm worried for my daughter.)
Last night I had a slice of rye bread with a scrape of butter, OH was eating pizza so I think I did very well :T
I've just had soaked oats, with rice milk, prunes and apricots - delicious!
Lunch will be hummus and salad (again) with oatcakes if I need them and lots of fruit for snacks.
A light tea for me (not sure wot yet) as it's dancing   tonight!
Hope everyone has a good day :A0 -
Morning all.
I very nearly lost the plot last night and was so close to coming on here at 2am but didnt think anyone would be here.
We have chocolate birthday cake sitting in the kitchen and after my Wii Fit session I was going to have a new ice cream (Not Guilty by Freeze - its actually a split type lolly but with yoghurt and only 1.5 syns) anyways I wanted a shower so decided against the ice cream and had one chocolate instead. In the shower the chocolate cake was calling to me so I brushed my teeth and had a herbal tea and read my book instead to take my mind off the cake. Went to bed feeling very happy with myself. Woke up at 2am for a wee (sorry too much information lol) and was thinking about going downstairs and scoffing the cake in secret (something I wouldnt have thought twice about doing before now). I really was torn in two - did I REALLY want the cake or do I really want to lose this weight? Took me a while but I just went back to bed and fidgeted thinking about the cake!! Its still in the kitchen but thankfully the urge isnt so great today. I think it will have to be cut and given to family though as its just too tempting to even have it here (as last night proved!).
Anyways todays food is:-
B - 2 weetabix, milk and a banana
L - 5 slices of ham with carrots, cucumber, lettuce, 3 babybel light, strawberries and a yoghurt.
D - Chicken casserole with new potatoes, broccoli and carrots.
Snacks - apple and grapes.
Have a great day everyone.
P.S. I have never made soup either but am considering it seeing as there are a few recipes and everyone says its easy.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Food plans

I confess:
Had my dinner of spag bol, pasta and parmesan, then had slice of bread with hm hummous, followed shortly afterwards by half a sausage sandwich left by one of the grand children and finished off a while ago with another slice of bread and more hummous....why couldn't I have had just the b***ody fruit and leave it alone???? Now having weak cup of tea with no milk, then going to bed.
Marie
Glad I'm not the only one. Feeling really good last night after my stir fry, then at about 11pm I suddenly get a craving for a g & t, give in to that and DH opens a pack of Pringles. I'm not even hungry, but when he offers me one I can't resist and of course I can't stop at one can I? Now feeling guilty. However, it is making me consider extra exercise to make up for it.

I've been missing in action, sorry. Life tends to get a bit hectic when dh is home. Last weekend also included dropping him and his tent in Anglesey, a two hour drive each way for me and ds. Ds was not happy.
The toad has been in my house this week and I have put on 4lbs!!!! I won't bore you with details of what I have eaten in case it starts anyone off wanting it, but it was just junk. I have had a few traumas (on behalf of friends, not me), so it is "comfort" eating.
I have SIL's wedding tomorrow, which I'm also not looking forward to. I met the bride's mum and other sister in Asda on Tuesday and they don't want to go either. That says it all really doesn't it?
I am toadless this morning, and have had rye bread (beacause it takes ages to eat) with a scraping of jam for breakfast.
Take care all of you, and well done to the losers :T0 -
Morning all,
Rambler I count calories as well as I find its the only way to stop me going OTT with portions of carbs etc so I weigh all my rice, bread, pasta and spuds. Writing things down throughout the day really helps me too as I can see the running total throughout the day. I count everything except for vegetables and fruit, the only exceptions are sweetcorn, potatoes, mango, pineapple and bananas which tend to be quite high. Plus weighing every last pea can be quite tediousand it seems to work for me as I am not cutting back on the things that are good for me.
B: 2 wholemeal toast with HM blackcurrant jam (no butter)
L: Jacket potato with beans and saladScouse with beetroot and a crusty seeded cob roll
This will come to about 1200 so I have room for a few coffees and some mango later while I am out and about as my daily intake is 1400 according to the online calculators.
I feel a bit rough today think I am coming down with a cold which is just typical, I only get ill when I am on holiday or off work on annual leave. No fair! :mad:0
