How's the drawer-clearing going julie? You'll feel great when it's all done. The trouble I have, is that a lot of the clutter and mess around my flat is OH's and he is the only one who can sort it out.

Started putting stuff back now - it's a good job, I was getting very tempted to just put everything in the bin!

Afternoon ladies and welcome to our newbies

Thank you for all your good luck wishes re the interview. I should find out today or tomorrow. It went really well, but I'm not the bookies favourite :(

tootifrooti - I do go in being really positive and enthusiastic, but I have been off long term sick with stress and depression for the past 6 months, so I just dont think anyone will take me on just now. I should add that this is an internal, temporary post and there were 7 candidates including myself. I had a great interview a couple of months back, it was only me and one other. The other person got it. Thats the first time in 10 years I've been unsuccessful at interview. I'm usually unsuccessful at shortlisting  Never mind, I'll find out soon enough. In any case, I'll be back at work 3 weeks today as today is my last day on the sick and I start my annual leave tomorrow. More importantly, it means I'm back on full pay tomorrow :j

Anyway, not planning on doing too much flying just now as its too hot. G&B, I cant believe the difference in the weather between here and Edinburgh. I got off the bus and everyone here is wandering about in shorts and tees. I was freezing in Edinburgh! Just jump on a 47 and visit me :D

I've waffled too much (thought that about the interview as well ;) ) Time for my afternoon nap xx

Kids have managed to flood the garden by chucking BIG buckets of water over each other so were banned from the house (as in locked out :p ) until dry.

Came home from work evidence of water pistol fight in utility room and wet clothes dumped in close proximity to washing machine.

Will now complete level 1 for today !

Right, think I might toddle off into town in a minute. The weather has held out here, but I don't have the energy or the inclination to wash the car, and at least if I walk to the library, I can get a lift home with OH who works in town, and I can't turn back once I've started to walk there. May get a cup of tea in his shop too as I'm starting to get that afternoon nap feeling.

Best find my trainers quickly before I change my mind.

    See you all later.

    sexymouse xx

PS. I may even get the few things I need to for the grocery shop whilst I'm there, so that'll be another thing off my list. :)
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Just gone outside as I heard a strange noise and the paddling pool (10ft) which DH bought yesterday is emptying itself all over the back. He did say it was probably a bit big as it sloped on one side due to the lawn but it's flooded the patio. Only thing is the kids are expecting to go in it when I pick them up.

thanks kaz, think I need some of those x
juliejim hope the kids aren't too dissappointed and you manage to get it sorted.

Still feeling delicate but did the LR inc vacuuming (I think I could make an extra dog a week with the hair that ends up in the vacuum cleaner) then DS2 charged into DS1 breaking his glasses, so got them ready to go to the opticians and now I can't find a house key. Problem is DPs had mine and his, we've looked everywhere but DP is out, denies he has them both but my bets are he has. So have given up, he should be home by tea time, will go through then to hopefully get them sorted. Oh and have found a bag full of stuff my mother has left behind inc sunglasses and shoes.....she always leaves something!

Think I'll just slob here for a while as I feel iffy :o I know I drank 7 types of cocktails plus lots of bottles of other stuff last night, so self inflicted I am afraid. Oh and them shot things, urgh, one of them tasted like coconut perfume I think I had, erm, 5 or more of those as it was one free with most drinks we bought  No wonder I feel iffy.
One day I might be more organised...........

    So far today I've managed
    • 4 loads of washing - two from the holiday pile and two from the stuff accumulating upstairs from before the jolliday.
    • Taken the littlies to the library so they could collect their stickers for the libraries summer reading scheme.
    • Paid a couple of bills while in the town and juggled some money around so we're not overdrawn before we get paid Thursday.
    • Mowed the front and back lawns and supervised littlies bike riding while outside.

Water veg in growbags, my pots and neighbours pots.
I will also check broccolli for cabbage white eggs because the devious butterflies are laying them in ones instead of batches in the hope of defeating me - but (LOL as if I have outwitted them) even though I need glasses to read I can still see their eggs! So I rub 'em off.

Thanks for all your welcomes - I have tried to thank you all but if I spot anyone unthanked I will press, I promise

Now it seems that Pigpen is in charge...is this correct? What do I do tomorrow please?

Oh and BTW the maiden is away until the next batch of ironing is ready to do and I have taken the lawn edger to be sharpened - only had them (from a deceased relative) 4 YEARS AGO AND THEY HAVE NEEDED SHARPENING ALL THAT TIME!

    So thanks for the encouragement.

I'm in again this week, but will start tomorrow. I'm really feeling rotten today with a pounding headache (which I've taken something for but it hasn't really shifted it). DS has gone to a friend's for the afternoon, DD1 has two friends round and they took DD2 to the park earlier. Now DD1 has asked if she can go for a sleepover at the house of one of her friends so that's one less to feed tonight! Not that there's much in because I was out all weekend at the twirler's competition with DD1 (she came 4th in solo twirl!). Now DD2 wants to start in September as a Pee Wee. Pee Wees are soooooooo cute!
