I read this and thought i ahve done nothing yet today, but actually when I think about it I have:

    put WM and DW on
nagged the boys till they did the LR (their playroom)
    hoovered
done a couple of hours work for a client
got paid for June by another client
taken the boys to soft play for 3 hours (and read a lot of a Jilly Cooper book - I like escapist twoddle sometimes)
been to Sainsburys and just bought what we needed, rather than what the children wanted

DH made me a lovely antique style oak stool for our anniversery yesterday - from a couple of pieces of rough sawn oak. Bodes well for the kitchen! Had a lovely dinner without interuption for once, and he had bought me my favourite chocolates for pudding. He was going to get me flowers but agreed I could have some books with the money instead :j .

SSL - I hope the interview went well?

    Hello Ladies,
I've been a bit of a lurker on here in the past, but would like to get into flying - heaven knows I need the motivation. The house is such a complete tip at the moment though that what I think I'll do is try to spend this week getting the place tidy at least on the surface (seems silly washing the windows when you have to step over piles of stuff to get to them!), whilst keeping an eye on this thread to follow exactly how everything works.

    My list for tonight is:

    Supermarket shop
    Make tomorrow's packed lunch
Clean out litter tray (my favourite)
    Washing up and clean kitchen
Pick up and put away the piles of clothes in bedroom
Sort paperwork pile on bedroom floor
Dust the front door down (I noticed this yesterday, how embarrassing!)
... Put my feet up and read the last chapter of Atonement!

Do I just edit this post in the morning then to say what I managed? Wish me luck, I really am new to housework!!!

Think I'll just slob here for a while as I feel iffy :o I know I drank 7 types of cocktails plus lots of bottles of other stuff last night, so self inflicted I am afraid. Oh and them shot things, urgh, one of them tasted like coconut perfume I think I had, erm, 5 or more of those as it was one free with most drinks we bought  No wonder I feel iffy.
    Only iffy?:eek::eek:
If I had had a night like that I would be in the smallest room hanging on to the porcelain.

    Welcome to all the newbies!

SSL - I hope you hear something positive soon!

I fell off the fly wagon totally last week and ended up with a 4hr challenge on Friday to get everything done before I started work so I wouldn't have to worry about it over the weekend.

I had a rough day yesterday which ended with me being a little drunk and a lot depressed, so I've not managed to do anything today. Work was enough of a struggle.

I need to remotivate myself so I'll be back later with my list for tomorrow afternoon.

Isn't this thread nice...and aren't you all. Glad I called by!

Help please - have worked out the DD and DS are darling? son and daughter so DH must be darling husband but what is OH - something husband.

(Not that it matters - haven't got one!)

    All plants/pots/growbags watered.
Extra job done - cat litter tray washed out - only use it occasionally as she uses my garden mostly. Now it's ready for when I need it. I do 'pick up' in the garden though!

Am intrigued as to what we will do tomorrow - BTW I don't clean kids bedrooms - they do that. I do change the beds though - on Fridays, usually as I only do paid work part time and don't go to work Thurs and Fri - I stay at home and work then.

BTW Tete en l'air - I help the kids deliver papers - been stunned by how dirty some peoples front doors are!

Been lurking for a while, and desperately trying to gain control of my domestics. I work from home so am surrounded by my clutter all the time.

Have decided to keep it simple and start with level 1 and try and build up a bit at a time. Have vacuumed lounge, hall, stairs - abandoned the landing where we only have underlay down (waiting for new carpets through the house), so vacuumed the bathroom and ensuite.

So that's my efforts today, although I've ironed for 15 mins with a timer, done two lots of washing.

This morning I watered the lawns front and back of the house - you can thank me for the fine weather, we had new turf laid last wednesday! Will be out watering again in a while.

    Wonder what I'll manage tomorrow.

    Hi everyone!
A laid back sort of day in the ginger house. DD1 and DS friend's birthday so been sitting in the sun in their garden chatting away with other mums whilst her hubby made lots of lovely salads and smoked salmon!! Yummy!

Came back far late afternoon and in that time have:
    sorted box of homeless belongings
    posted ebay parcel for DH
    unstack and restack DW
    checked bank account
    s/s bathroom
put away DHs belongings after he fell into a drink induced deep sleep following the garden party yesterday!! I knew he had drunk a lot when he was sending me texts saying 'i love you' when I was sitting 3 feet away:rotfl:

will do level 2 this evening and hopefully HHI (if there's anything suitably trashy to iron to on telly - if not then it will be Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie for company!)

hi to all newbies and hope the interview went well SSL!!
