  • hi Can I declare my totals please
for August £210.49 (£15 under yahooooo)

Budget for September is £200 please

    thanks
Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!
  • Oh bless, thank you all for the good wishes for our bbq - I've been so absorbed with feeding these people without going over budget that I've not even thought about the weather - what if it rains!!! ...that would just be typical wouldn't it...somebody do a sundance quickly please...:D

Well, I popped into the co-op today and have managed to get 4 bottles of wine (plus 2 bottles of soda water), 4 bottles of cider and 8 bottles of lager for £25.58 (the cider and lager were half price!). I'm going to make spritzers with the soda water to make the wine go further! :D (and I'm still hoping that people will bring booze with them!)

I also managed to get some nice chicken legs and ribs in there which were much cheaper than the butchers but still good quality. I've got all the other food too apart from some cheese and the burgers which I'll get in the butchers tomorrow and so far I've spent a grand total of £39.01 which leaves me £17.89 out of my budget. The burgers and cheese should cost about £10 so, failing a 'hit and run' on the coop by himself, I should manage to pull it off! :D

When I got to the checkout I discovered that DD3 had snaffled a packet of Mr Kiplings French Fancies into the trolley too late for me to take them out - £1.97 - how expensive is that for 8 little cakes!! I could have brained her - she's just like her father...:D
    Grocery Budget from 24th August to 31st August - £100/Declared at £99.27 :j

Grocery Budget for September - £400
  • Well tomorrow is the big move :www: ---->:www: .
I live in an attic room with a very narrow turning staircase (which some of you may remember I feel through once upon a time) so it might take a while to get everything out and into the new house.
I will be living with a friend :D up the road in a little box room :( until January so no bulk buying or early stocking up on early Christmas presents unfortunately. I know the house has an eating together thing going on :D but am not sure how it works so I don't think I will be totally in control of my food budget :( but I may have a smaller one for toiletries and lunches etc so that I can still join in with you all! It will be nice to cook and eat with other people though, my housemates for the last year haven't been the friendliest.
I do hope she has internet too, imagine if she doesn't. Eek

:oWell I've been having a 'mare!

Just going over our receipts for August I discovered that we have managed to get through 34 litres of icecream this month!!!

    It hasn't even been hot

And *I* don't even eat icecream!!! Ever.

I think it has to do with Hubby going to Iceland for the cheap milk and getting tempted - and me not noticing! :o

I can't blame it all on the icecream though, cos our totals had been creeping up long before then.

I need to seriously batten down the hatches in September though!

Declaring at £402.06 which is £52.06 over budget. :o

    Love Jacks xxx :D

I'm declaring £235.90 for August. I want to reduce this so I'm aiming for £200 in September (I MUST remember to take a packed lunch to work every single day)

I'm declaring for August.. £222.33 and I'm not very happy about it, but my August budget was a guess and my first month of doing the GC.

For September I'm going to do more meal planning, as a couple of days I've had to scrape meals together which DH hasn't been very keen on.

Well done to those who've come under, and have another go next month for others! See you on the September thread!

Mrs M can you please put me down for £120 for September. Thanks to you and AngelNikki and Pink. See you all on the September thread.
