Hi catmum you can also buy the bars of value cooking chocolate and cut into chunks- works out cheaper. I made some of the Milles cookies with white cooking chocolate from Mr Ts value range. They were gorgeous- they disappeared quickly though- I think the fairies pinched them cos it wasn't me honest:p . One bar of choc made enough chunks for two batches of cookies. (In between batches I just put the rest of the chunks in a sandwich bag in the fridge)
I use bars of normal chocolate (not cooking chocolate) or even chocolate buttons, it is cheaper than chocolate chips.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

I'd like to declare £149.67 out of a budget of £160 but I'm sure that's wrong and I must have lost a receipt somewhere. Still it's not too bad and I'm going to increase my budget for September to £200 and not lose any receipts!0

Hi all
I will now add the recipes I keep putting off till later. lol
Sausages in oxtail soup.
ingredients
sausages, (how ever many you want per person)
1 tin of oxtail soup
onion
carrots/peas
any other vegetable you want to add
mushrooms
oil/butter
cook sausages and once cool, cut in to 4 or 5 pieces each.
fry onions
cook mushrooms (I cook mine in saucepan in butter)
cook diced/sliced carrots and peas
once sausages are cut in to 4 or 5 pieces put them in to casserole dish
pour over oxtail soup
add your veg, onion, mushrooms (what ever you want to add.)
gas 5/ 375 f/ 190 c.
for about 30 to 45 min
with this recipe you can add what ever you like to it.
I was brought up on it but my mum never used onions, mushrooms just veg, I have adapted it my self to our tastes.
Everything is cooked so it is just a case of warming the soup and allowing the taste of the soup to go through into the sausages.
I serve this with potatoes or mash, my kids love it.
(this wa my nans recipe, my mums mum. As far as I know it dont go any further back than that.)
My brother, sister and I loved it as kids and my kids now love it.July 185.19/200/Aug=170.25//200//sept=81.24/200. 2adults,3 kids + 2 dogs.

I don't think I have any in but I'll look when I've fed DD. I got mine from Tesco.com. They are made by Pataks and come in a box that contains four. They are solid (like the blocks of coconut milk) so you'd need to reduce the amount of liquid in the dahl by the quantity of coconut milk in the tin.
Sorry, I'm not ignoring anyone but struggling to keep up. Whenever I am on I am typing one handed while feeding DD.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
