    Hi all

Well as predicted did spend yesterday as had DD with me - but that is on the back of 7 NSDs, so pretty good. Spent in Lidl & Co-op - ouch - but GC is standing at £209.74/£225 & if I manage to come in under/on budget it will the first time ever!! A NSD today & all I think we will need for the week is maybe some milk/cheese so that should be do-able.
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear

Morning from a grey and miserable Manchester!

A NSD day yesterday for me and should be one today too. I have to take clients out for dinner tonight and so its a free tea - not good for diets though! I've brought some veggie chilli I made for tea last night to work for lunch with an apple so no spends there today for me:T

Will be able to comfortably last until the weekend for food and then it may only a few fresh bits to go with the stuff we have in for next week - famous last words!

Anyway, have a good spend-free day!

Bulky buying cat food on the internet , does this work out much cheaper? delivery much??? which site do you use??? THANKS X

Hiya, not sure if anyone other than likabu replied - didn't get online again after yesterday morning, so I have a bit of catching up to do. I use vetuk.co.uk to get my cat food. They offer free deliveries on orders over £39 (used to be £29 but has recently gone up ). But I will get 2x 4kg bags of Hill's Nature's Best which comes in just over the limit at £39.58 so I'll get free delivery. That will last 114 days (he has 70g per day) so works out at less than 35p per day, for one cat (the other is on a special diet which I also get from vetuk and works out at a similar cost, but I already have a spare bag of that food) I think my little darlings are worth that amount, especially as I think Hill's food is much better quality than tinned stuff.

Phew, all caught up now. Just about to make my first batch of muffins with my new muffin tin :D Also noticed there's a recipe on the packaging for spinach, cheese and goats cheese muffins, which sound yummy. I'll have to try those sometime - let me know if anyone wants the recipe and I'll post it.

Ooh, just remembered I've got a doctor's appointment in about half an hour, so muffins will have to wait a little while. Fingers crossed I'll be able to come off the drugs I have been on for the last 4 months and get back to normal life again :o

Well I'm off to a good start and it's not even the start of September and my challenge yet! Only bought some tinned salmon and peanut butter - both cheap in Tesco at the mo, will be used for sarnie fillings for oh and kids from next week. Feeling very proud of myself that I didn't spend a fortune lol!

Hi, I've not been around much this month but would like to say that I managed to keep under budget and finished at £221. I have been helped by my sons eating at work as much as possible and also eating as much as they can as it is all free. They never used to eat puddings but as it is on offer they have startedto eat them too. At home they are mainly eating snacks, toasties etc so we are really saving a lot. If I use a lb of mince I still add loads of veggies and oats and then freeze portions for me and DH and all our sons for quick meals.

I have after 20 years gone back to just one freezer. I had a friend years ago who said she felt all her shopping was to feed her freezer. I still have a huge chest freezer but we are being more economic by buying less and keeping less in freezers. It seems to be helping to reduce costs too. The one we got rid of was an old one of my parents so it was probably costing loads to run it too.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
