ps August GC ends today for me,as I get paid last Monday of month(unless a bank holiday,so it's tomorrow!)but NSD, 'tho' been out for meal as bonus for judging at local show-lots of yummy cooking(and some notso)You can't stay young for ever, but you can be immature for the rest of your life.0 -
Hi Pinkprincess
No need to dry the seeds in the oven... just drop them onto a piece of kitchen paper... with tomatoes the little jelly bit round each seed will dry into the paper..once they have dried onto the paper you can just roll them up and pop in an envelope.. They keep better than in an airtight tub as they can breath..
Then next year just drop one seed into a bit of compost (if they don't come off the paper it doesn't matter as you can just rip a the little piece off and plant it)
Some of my best tomatoes so far this year have come from seeds from supermarket tomatoes..It makes it worth buying the small packs of really nice tomatoes -as you can grow more the following year

Hello all.
Just got back from our holiday with the in-laws and it was fantastic. I have a very tired little one but she also had a brilliant time. The in-laws were soo generous and paid for nearly everything and we just had to pay for some lunches (I think we spent about £50 the whole week but my OH paid for it all so didn't come out of my budget). I actually spend £25 on petrol and that was it! :j
Hope everything is going well for everyone.
My granddad came out of hospital last Thursday - a big thank you to all who offered their help and advice. :A
My sister is now 9 days overdue with her baby which is rather ironic as her first baby came 3 months early!!!
Back to the GC - picked my first homegrown cucumber today and my runner beans are nearly ready. However, my tomatoes are refusing to turn red!
Sorry, rambled on enough.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'
Proud Mummy to two gorgeous miracles.:j0
