has it occured to you that I mean other stuff, where lying is really the only option?

There are never any situations where "lying is really the ONLY option" – you always have the option to tell the truth, though given some of your posts, I doubt that comes naturally to you.
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

I have been in situations where lying is really the only option, or bending the truth slightly.
I don't believe you would even be willing to TRY to work.

I did 2 days (8.25 - 2.45) for about 9 months last year, so I have tried to work.

All people have done is tried to help you.

All that you have done is told lies, contradicted yourself, and been downright ungrateful.

So when you say you can't work, you mean you've tried it and its no longer for you?

People have been trying to help you but you either choose to ignore the advice or throw it back in people's faces.

Please can you explain, in layman & very simple terms how it is you can be OK to drive yet need help for 35 hours a week to navigate the pavements?

Please can you explain, again in layman's & very simple terms, how your condition makes you too tired to work but OK to study practically full time?

Please can you explain why the eye infirmary said you had to have a 20" laptop, yet you've not had any help from them or other services for 13 months.

(I am hoping that Titch will post truthful and honest answers, but if not, I think I will just leave this thread as an obvious wind up - I know from my wife's condition that the vast majority of the population will help disabled people and happily do whatever they can to make their life easier, but this thread appears to be following the same wind up answers that preceeded the deletion of the other threads.)

And have YOU read it?! Taken from that post: please remember courtesy and not to make it personal about anyone.

All your responses are aggressive and snippy and frequently downright rude, you've told several posters to "get lost" (although these posts have now been deleted) and your sarcastic "boo hoo" in response to Alison999's post was completely uncalled for.

In life, you will always get back what you put out there – showing at least some empathy for other posters' situations would you earn you the same from everyone else...

EDIT: I still disagree that there are situations where lying or "bending the truth slightly" is your only option...

I never said it was permanent.

Partially sighted people aren't allowed to drive. I have never said I'm ok to drive - legally, I could drive if I could read roughly one more line of the smellen test, but being safe to drive is another matter.
Please can you explain, again in layman's & very simple terms, how your condition makes you too tired to work but OK to study practically full time?

Work & study aren't the same thing. It'll only be 12 hours per week, over 2.5 days.

There isn't a lot the other services can do. My parents asked them about something (cooker/microwave displays) but they've said they can't do anything.

Would that be for the purposes of claiming benefit?

  • Tell you what - you can have my HRC and I'll take your place at college. I would give anything to do that, but struggle to get out on my own. Though I've found away round it and have enrolled with the OU :) There is always a solution if you WANT one.

Can you not just answer a straightforward question?

I don't know what you plan to do in your exams - examiners do not take kindly to students that answer a completely different question to the one set.
