    Hi Folks

Thanks to you all for your kind words - it really does mean a lot. Today has certainly been better than yesterday. Just feel like I am on a rollercoaster, with my emotions being up and down and up and down.

Took some advice from people yesterday and took myself out with a friend tonight for a meal and then we went to see a film (I know, I know, not very moneysaving, but I figured I could afford it, seeing how I will qualify for a single person's council tax discount now:p ) See, I must be feeling better, if I'm cracking jokes!

I'm sure I will have more down days, however I know I can post on here for a bit of support.

Oh, and Dinah, thanks for the offer of PMing you - it's much appreciated!

I soooooo love this site.:iloveyou: All the posters are great! Had a problem today, when I discovered that my laptop had a virus on it. Usually my OH would have dealt with this and fixed it, however as previously posted, I am now single and panicked ever so slightly (that's an understaement) when I turned the laptop on.

However I posted on the Techie board and within a short time, people had posted and I managed to fix it by myself, thanks to their advice. :j :j

Maybe "singledom" won't be so hard after all.:p

    Singledom is great Betti :)
You get to watch SATC in your jammies on a Saturday and no one whining at you
The toilet seat is always down (and the toilet doesn't have 'suspect' drips round it)
You can have a whole packet of Penquins for your tea without anyone looking at you as if you are mad
You can get pished and dance round to Celine Deon
You can do all those essential girly things (like waxing and bleaching) in peace
You don't have to even wax or bleach if you don't want to
You can go out on a Friday and find yourself standing outside Top Shop on a Monday (as you have been out all weekend) waiting for it to open so you can get work clothes with no one moaning at you
You don't have to pretend to give a toss about football
No suspect hairs in the soap
    No smelly socks
No putting up with his mates round your gaff when you can't stand them

Oh the list goes on....but you make sure you howl (in the bath for effect I find) and grieve this relationship and then move on. :)

Hugs to you (would do the icon but that is a very pervy looking cuddle!!!) xx

Lets have some fun :D - c'mon posters - what other things can you add to the list. Lets just see how many more advantages there are too being single!

And don't forget...all the food that was in the fridge will still be there also!!! hurrah!!!

So when you go food shopping you can get ALL your faves, without having to take him into consideration, and then when you fancy it you can eat it without him beating you to it and troughing it down his neck and then saying 'ach, I don't really like them anyway' OH REALLY!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When you come home in the evening there is no cleaning up a bombsite before you cook dinner. It's all clean, tidy and just as you left it.

No mud stomped through the house over the carpets because someone couldn't be bothered to take off their shoes 'to get something out of the cupboard quickly'

No racing on full blast on a Sunday evening when you'd rather watch a girly film like Amelie or Pride and Prejudice (again for the 15th time)

Being able to have girly flowery sheets on the bed without suspect 'man' stains ruining them. (Do not ask)

No nasty bathroom smells that linger for hours and make your eyes water.

    Hear Hear

Almost forgot to say, that the tesco clubcard vouchers that I had been saving up to go away on holiday, got blown last week. Spent over a grand on jewellery - got a lovely gucci watch and a few necklaces from goldsmiths.
    :T :T :T
Just waiting on this quarters vouchers to come through and I'm gonna treat myself to the biggest diamond ring I can afford, seeing how I don't have an engagement ring anymore!
    :T :T :T
Now that's what I call retail therapy - and the best bit about is, it's FREE!! (Well sort of, if you know what I mean)!!

Wouldn't have been able to do that if we were still together.
