The full story can be seen on 'Watchdog' on BBC1 tonight at 7 pm. It was previewed this morning on Breakfast News.
Pink Meet and Greet were quoted as saying they were no longer trading - but whose to say they haven't started up under a different name?
I guess it goes back to the old adage, if a deal looks too good to be true it possibly is. Best to stick with the established firms even if they are a little more expensive.

Can anyone recommend anyone at Leeds Bradford please and any possible discount codes?0

This looks like a way to get cheaper parking at Gatwick - has anyone tried this ?
I'm looking for parking at Gatwick for June 4th to June 19th this year. On the BAA site http://secure.baa.com/
If I look for Gatwick South terminal the cheapest parking is SUMMER SPECIAL at £78.30 if I then look for North Terminal the cheapest parking is HOLIDAY PARKING SUPERSAVER at £50. We actually fly from the South terminal but intend to use the cheaper option and take the transit from the North to South terminal.0 -
Hi - we need to park at Stanstead airport for a week at the end of March / early April. Can you tell me about any good deals? We will be travelling with our two children aged 1 and 3 so don't want too much fussing about with public transport and baggage as we will have out hands full! Thanks.0

An update to the "Pink Meet and Greet" story from last week's Watchdog.
According to today's "Times" somebody from the parking company left a large box of car-keys with BAA on Friday night. There is no indication of which key fits which car and where the cars are parked. Now the struggle is on to match the keys with the cars and, more importantly, find out where the cars are parked. Hundreds of cars are supposed to be involved.
Pink Meet and Greet's website states that the company has "seized (sic) trading"What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

In view of the 'Pink meet and Greet' problems at Gatwick you will be best to use the official BAA car parking facilities.
There are lots of fields around Stansted and who knows which one your car could end up in.

And whats BAD value for money??? Taking a Taxi to my local (regional) airport!
I live only 7 miles from my (tiny) regional Airport in Norwich. I enquired about getting a Taxi from home to the airport a few weeks back to be told "£17.50 one way!" I thought "I'll ask a friend to drive me instead".
A day or two later, I rang up the same Taxi firm, this time asking for a fare to our local Mazda Dealership to collect the car which was in for a service. £6.50 one way. And wheres the Mazda dealership? Only 200 yards from our local airport!
Bloody rip off merchants!
Has the airport SOLD the rights to use the taxi rank to ONE local firm (and everyone else, cabs and private car drivers alike, have to park up in a car park even when dropping off) ?
I got treated like this when dropping off an elderly and infirm relative at Prestwick, until I stuck myself in the Taxi Q and argued the toss with the poor bod who was supposed to enforcing the rules.
I have no desire to be a spokesman for Taxi or Private Hire cars (Legally they are totally different) and quoting nearly three times the fare probably is
taking the mickey, BUT did the offer include everyone and their Luggage AND a guarantee to meet the returning flight, already armed with the likes of your child seat(s), if required, at any time of day or night or any day of the week ?
Did the offer for Mazda include extra people and their luggage ?
Obviously the airport offer for going and coming back includes a significant risk that the plane will be late (or early !). Were both offers at the same time of day or were they at antisocial hours and/or on a holiday/Sunday ?
I don't know the rules of the local authority in Norfolk, but I would have thought that a "Taxi" for 7 miles would have used a meter, maximum prices set by the authority, for both offers? If the offer was for a real "TAXI" and they were breaking the rules; shop them to the local authority, get the local deskjockeys to earn the fees they are taking off the drivers.
Phone around, check the local paper etc. to find a firm or owner driver to trust.
Perhaps a TAXI driver would like to comment on the mileage rates of 2 - 3 GBP per mile and the chances of getting a return fare.0 -

i often use the bcp website, but Egg credit card have a link for 15% off. It is always well worth a go. Please see the link below. It can be used for all major airports.
