Using the code TIPO gave me half price with Purple Parking. Yes, they do use mini buses with trailers behind for the luggage. I have used them many times and never had to wait more than 10 - 15 minutes to be collected outside the terminal. The traffic outside the airport can be very busy at times.SallyD0

BARGAINADDICT wrote:I used BCP off Airport parking last year and I was very pleased with them, they were very helpful(left suitcase key on car keys, which they had and they sent it on the next bus service) my only slight gripe would be that my car needed a wash on my return(not the end of the world)
I will be using them again this year and have just been checking prices, looks like booking through egg is the best option at the moment, its a matter of shopping around im afraid.
Ive just been quoted £57.38 for 17 days through egg and £65.02 by virgin for the same carpark!!! cant remember how much we paid last year for 14 days.
Any other suggestions for cheap parking?0 -
Just to warn anyone needing to park at BRISTOL, I recently did, for a long weekend using EZ Parking. They were certainly the cheapest and the service was fine, they are only 5 mins from the airport. BUT, when I drove away after having collected my car, I noticed something not quite right - my windscreen mirror was not on the windscreen, but on the passenger seat! Also, I had some papers stowed away in the passengers sun visor (they had been there for over a year), but these were now on the dashboard. Also, I have a centre console full of cassette tapes which I never use anymore, but I noticed a tape lying in the rear offside passengers footwell!! No-one else uses our car but me, so how did these things move around???
I would say be very wary about using this company. They claim to park your car 5 miles away in a secure compound, driving the car with insured drivers. They don't say HOW the cars will be driven! I can't believe they didn't even mention or try to apologise for the mirror becoming detached!0 -
GATWICK -Somebody mentioned https://www.tudorrose.co.uk - we have used them a few times and they are very good. They came around with the car very quickly once we had cleared customs. We parked once in the short term and had a nasty bump to our car which no-one had owned up to. At least with tudor rose the car is in their car park and they detail the conditon of the car before you hand it over.0

Delete whatever is in the Source Code space - normally GGLE and type in TIPO. Hope it works for you.SallyD0

can you use tesco deals with the TIPO code for purple parking ir is it the usual full price only thing?
Also, we are travelling from B'ham and never been there before. any recommendations from someone who's used an airport parking company there?"Sumptus censum ne superet"
Mental blocks are just hurdles to overcome in life.
Yeah..whatever :rolleyes:0 -
I have never used Tesco points for purchasing airport parking so cannot answer your question. You could check out on the purpleparking website to see if the code is still working and if it is weigh it up against using the tesco points.SallyD0

I have used Purple Parking valet parking at Heathrow with Clubcard vouchers and it was great - no problems.
Last time we flew from Heathrow we used the NCP short term parking at car park 1A which was on a special offer for at least 3 days - for 3 days we paid about £45 instead of £132 (I think) - and just walk from carpark to T1. Offer still on but not always publicised. Useful as FIL is very ill and DH can then get there fastest by flying.0
