  • We will be flying from Gatwick in October and would like a hotel with evening meal, possibly breakfast & 10 nights car parking.

    Any ideas?

I always stay at the Ifield Court. You get free parking, transfer to and from the airport and full breakfast. It's a friendly, family run hotel. Highly recommended.

You can contact the Ifield Court on 01293 534807

I try to book hols departing from Newcastle. If there are any accidents or roadworks you can always detour through small villages unlike the M8 where you're stuck with nowhere to go. I have used park and fly in both Edinburgh and Newcastle and although they are both friendly and helpful I felt that Newcastle was more secure. A friend told me recently that a car was stolen from a secure 24 hour parking facility in Glasgow and the insurance company are saying that they won't pay out because the owner of the vehicle passed his keys over to the attendant. The airport parking company in question folded so the car owner probably won't be able to claim on their insurance. I don't think this one will stand up in court.

It depends on the wording of your insurance policy. Ask your insurer for a definitive answer before you leave.

    Hi folks

Flying from Exeter (first time from here) in August for 2 weeks. Any tips on which website to use for booking parking would be appreciated.

    thanks
  • Hi,
I don't know if any one else can find it cheaper, but I wanted to fly from Liverpool for a 2 day trip. I wanted to leave my car on a car park nearby for the 2 days. I had travelled from Manchester before and car parking competition is so good I only paid a signle figure amount.
Not Liverpool though. It didn't matter where I went £23.5 was the least I could pay for 2-6 days. Competition no, closed shop yes!!
I am going from Manchester next time.

Hi, Just come back, parked at Stansted Mid-Stay car park. Booked online through BAA - Stansted website to get cheapest i could find (£45.20 for 4 days)

Very simple and straight forward car park to use! Shuttle bus runs every few minutes both to and from the airport, few mins transfer time, ( but do allow longer in case of any hold ups on main road getting in to the airport!!!)

    Will use again.

    Hth.
