  • Name of present? USB Phone charger
Do you make it or buy it? Buy It
    Total Cost? £3.00 from Tesco

Details - a phone charger that you plug into the USB drive of your computer. Great for people who travel with laptops. This one comes with adaptors for most major makes of phones (Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Siemens & Ericsson). I haven't seen one cheaper than this anywhere
  • Name of present Subtle Mini Bling Kit
Do you make it or buy it? Buy it
    Total Cost 4.99

A kit to help you add a sparkle to your mobile phone or any item. This is really big in America at the moment and is just about to hit here. You get crystals, adhesive and instructions. The website has a lot of different designs for you to copy. It's not my type of thing but the kids seem to be going for them in a big way. They're a different gift to give and should keep the young uns occupied.

  • Name of present? WOODEN TOYS
Do you make it or buy it? BUY IT
    Total Cost? £5 MAX

I received a useful catalogue in the post from a wooden toy manufacturer which contains a page of gifts for under £5. They are very traditional toys but great stocking fillers for kids.
For instance you can get two wooden skipping ropes, a pocket solitaire game, a pair of pop guns for £5 each or a harmonica, a game of pick up sticks, a knitting doll for £3 each.
    Check their website on https://www.woodentoysonline.co.uk

    Name of present? GUIDEBOOK
Do you make it or buy it? BUY IT
    Total Cost? £3.99

I also have a great little guide book at home called 'Lets go with the Children'. It gives great places and things to do with kids in your local area from play barns to museums and a whole section dedicated to FREE PLACES. The book itself is a snip at £3.99. I have found it invaluable this summer and plan to use it again over the Christmas holidays.

  • After much arguing at MoneySaving Towers congratulations to afro and mia-fia for their Tesco Vouchers and Balloon Surprise suggestions. Luxury hampers are on there way to you. Please could you PM (Personal Message) by clicking on my profile to the left of this post or email me with your addresses. If there was more than one person who suggested the idea I'm afraid it went to whoever was quickest off the mark!

Thanks to all the others who took part. See the full results in the Festive Fiver article.
