Name of present? shared fishing net for 4 farmers
Do you make it or buy it? buy it
    Total Cost? £5
Details This is a great way to give towards something practicle, and help poverty stricken African farmers. You can start off with this £5 gift, and go all the way up to a full farm to support 25 extended families for £2000 (with everything from a share of a bee hive - £10, 3 sheep - £35 and a pair of oxen - £210, in between!). They can all be found, along with many more options, at https://www.sendacowgifts.org.uk

Thank you for inspiring me. I always end up with a fair amount of xmas money and no idea what to spend it on (inevitabley new clothes/shoes in january sales) This year I will get a few things from this site - and feel a bit better about the money I spent on everyone else

Why don't you go into "bodycare" and at the back, well, in my local one, you will find a few shelves with candles. Don't bother with the cheap looking ones, by the Price's Candles

Why don't you buy a small packet of lard, cost: approximatedly 50p, and a bag of bird seed for about a couple of quid. Melt the lard in a saucepan and add the seed, then, after mixing thoroughly, pour into an empty yoghurt or butter tub and then lay one end of a long piece of string in the center. Leave in the fridge for about 3 hour and it will set hard. Remove from tub and hang in garden. Result: your garden being the most popular in the street.

  • Name of Present: Bean Bags
Do you make it or Buy it: Make it
Total Cost: No more than £5.00
Details: Bean Bag Game for Children: Go To Lidl or similar store and buy a large bag of inexpensive beans, any varity. Then go to a charity shop to find a shirt, skirt, sheet or curtain in a fabric you like. (Kids don't care - and you can use something you already have at home - perhaps that shirt you never wear or something that has a small tear in it you'll never repair.) Then cut 5 inch squares out of the fabric - 2 per bean bag. sew three sides, fill 1/2 to 2/3 with beans and sew the final side. (You can do this by hand or machine. It really is simple - easier than a button!) I recommend 2 bags per game. Then you find a basket or box that the kids can toss the bean bags into - be creative and use wrapping paper over a box a parcel came in in the post!

Thanks for Babyzoop post - great site, have just ordered lots of bits and bobs and postage is free - yippee! Love the taggies (my son adored labels when he was tiny), though they don't quite fit in the stocking filler category I think my nephew will love it!

Wednesday - rec'd order today, and they even made sure that where I'd ordered four of an item that they were all diff colours/patterns - brilliant service! :T
