Name of present ...Personalised Music CD + jewel case
Make it/buy it ...Make them yourself inc CD face and case artwork
Total cost ... under £1
Choose tracks according to whoever your present is for. Don't forget to think of songs from years ago that will bring a smile or fond memories, as well as more recent and current favorites.
Dig through your photos and pic something appropriate for the CD itself and your jewel case. Eg: full frame for the jewel case, crop for CD face. Have a laugh naming your Album/artist. Advantages - cheap, custom made, unique, something to keep.0 -

MaureenHB wrote:I have used this before as a present, I bought a cheap gold coloured pot and filled it with gold wrapped chocolate coins with the tickets peeping out of the top. Wrap the lot in clear cellophane and tie it with a Christmassy ribbon, and it looks really nice. Maureen
(PS, love this thread!)
I thought this would be a great present for my nephew (19 years old). I have bought a gold coloured gift box from Tesco - the size they say is great for CDs. It is very pretty, has a gold bow, and a star shaped gift tag for 74p. I am planning on putting the chocolate coins in the box, and getting some christmas scratchcards when they come out to go in there as well.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0 -
Found a pink Funky Friends 35mm camera, film and album in Tesco last night - pile of them reduced from £9.99 to £4.99 - great for small girls who think they're grown up!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

Name: Dressing Up clothes
Make or buy: Buy - though you could make/alter if you want
Total cost? Free to £5
Details:
Pop along to your local jumble sale/bring and buy sale/charity shop. Buy lots of clothing - the more varied and brighter the better - hats, skirts, jackets. (Tip: Wait until the end and most sale organisers are only too happy for you to take things away for free!) Take them home , quickly (economy) wash them and you have a great present for your children.
My children now aged 13 and 11 have played/play with their dressing up clothes more than anything else - schools/hospitals/pirates/Titanic/space/orphans etc - they are only limited by their own imaginations ...0 -
Beware of taking children with you to a jumble sale though to choose dressing up items - we help out at the Brownie sales and my children come out with armful's of stuff, more that we usually donate!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
