I cancelled them last year - they still arrived. I will have to try again!

Thats why Im not bothering ! I cant see how manageable only delivering to certain houses will be en masse. Ive delivered Yellow pages before and its a b!tch of a job!

That was really easy - 3 quick phone calls and all sorted

Trying to decide what to do with all the extra draw space I'll have now :rotfl:

Thanks! Our flats get a massive stack just dumped outside, I keep meaning to take them to be recycled when I have access to a car. Will try to cancel for the whole building ......

Did you have any luck in doing this? I want to cancel for our whole estate of 300 apartments.

I can't believe there's any real demand for these directories these days.

    I'll be calling them soon.

But if enough people do it they may change how they're distributed.

They could could drop batches off at libraries or public buildings for people to pick up rather than delivering them individually.

If they think everyone wants one, they'll keep delivering them.
  • I actually advertise in the Yellow Pages and Thomson Local, but get so little business from it that I am not renewing my advert. Let's be honest. It is far better to be in a web advert or listing or even a 118 service than in that paper.

It is also over-saturated with advertisers in the same category now.

I have cancelled all three of mine today although they did seem a bit annoyed!

I rang to complain about Yellow Pages being left on doorsteps during half term - kids ripped them open and they littered the estate. I was asked for my postcode and told that deliverers are instructed NOT to leave them in sight, in case people are on holiday and it's a security risk.

In Prague, I saw stalls set up and people collecting them with a voucher.

These directories are always welcome in our house. With very little effort they can be torn up and made into free fuel with the Logmaker. Now that's what I call moneysaving...
