I also dropped down and sent an email to ask why? The reply I had

Thanks for your email. Actually, we have a complete overhaul of the system planned for next week, so sit tight until then and you will get an email when the upgrade has taken place!

I know in my case some of the previous campains have dropped off (They were over a year ago) But I still thought my score was incorrect. Will wait till next week after the upgrade and see what happens :)

I have got so confused with my scores seeming not to add up that I now keep a written note of when I report bzz and when it gets reviewed and what my score is!

I went from tier 4 down to a tier 2 overnight!

  • Hi Everyone ...

If you've got a faulty steam generator, sit tight with it ... I had two replies from Bzz saying we wouldn't have to pay for postage or any actual repairs, so I phoned Philips again today to confirm this with them and say I was sending it back.

Well, it's the same charade ... the lady said that Philips didn't know anything at all about this campaign, and said (after going to ask a colleague) that they didn't know who Bzz were either.

She said I needed to send the steam generator back to the people I bought it from (ie Bzz) and not to them (Philips) ... she said they were the manufacturer but not the supplier where we bought them, so it had to go to the place/people we bought them from for them to deal with it.

I said look, you engaged BzzAgent to do this campaign for one of your products and I am just one of a number of people who are trialling this product for you.

I paid BzzAgent, but we are doing this for you and you being the manufacturer, and the warranty holding with you, then it is down to you to either repair or replace.

Not without a dated receipt she said.
Well I carried on trying to explain to her why I didn't have a dated receipt of purchase, explained (when she let me get a word in) about the trial etc ... and then she said well, you could send it back to us but you'll probably have to pay for all repairs and the postage to send it here and to have it sent back to you.

    Aaaarrrgggghhhh!!!!! Can you believe this?????
    I blooming well couldn't!

I told her I have emails from BzzAgent welcoming me to this campaign for Philips, I have proof of me buying it .... I have emails from BzzAgent saying we wouldn't have to pay anything to have repairs done ... but she just didn't care. She carried on saying they hadn't heard of any such campaign or of BzzAgent.

Soooo, after a good twenty minutes of not getting anywhere, I have emailed BzzAgent and asked if they will step in on my behalf cos I've got this dratted steam generator I cannot use and I want to get cracking with the trial (it's a good job it's for a decent length of time, eh?! I might just get a working steam generator before it finishes!).

I just can't get any further and am not sending it back if, as she said, I will probably have to pay for repairs and the postage ... so I will just wait and see if BzzAgent can contact them and sort something out cos as long as they deny all knowledge of the campaign and BzzAgent with this trial, we haven't a leg to stand on!!

For those of you who think their scores have gone down quite damatically - mine have too but if you read up on how the scoring works (and has done on all previous campaigns) when you start a new campaign your points drop but as soon as you submit the first report for it you get some more points. You also need to know that your reports are scored andthe score is divided by the number of campaigns you do.

All the info is on the site so if you haven't already its worth a look befor eyou post here or start emailing bzz, theres usually a good reason for the points disappearing.

I went from tier 3 to 2 this morning but i signed up for the iron campaign yesterday so i know thats probably the reason.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for that but quite a few of us know how the points work....even so, the points have still gone down more than the usual for joining a new campaign!

I emailed them asking why I had dropped from Tier 3 to tier 1 last week and they havent bothered to reply to me?

Its nothing to do with dropping points when starting a new campaign as I have had 5 reports accepted for the iron so they have caught up with all my reports.

I really have no idea why lots of us are dropping down 2 or even 3 tiers

I just signed up for the iron on friday so i am looking forward to
trying it after reading all the reports on this thread it sounds very
good but I do not know what to expect or how complicated or easy
    to use it might be.
I have only done one trial for buzz and was on tier 1 then after I
signed up to this trial I moved to tier 4 and a key sign so not sure
what that means other than getting early invites.
But looking forward to the iron trial anyway.

    Hi there,

Usually all bzz agent trials are free to participate in. This one is offering an iron worth £80-£100 for £20. Bzz agent explained to us that the charge is due to the high retail price of the item being tested.

Those who had an invite (myself included) were free to choose not to take part, but many of us have been thrilled with the deal and have chosen to pay the nominal £20 charge. This thread has become focussed on this latest trial as so many people have been keen to do it.

One of my friends received the invite 2-3 days ago but was totally skint, I paid for her iron for her - due to the fact I was so impressed with mine!
