There are one or two people at work that I get on with - I went round to the house of one who was having a Bollywood night which was good (kids on their best behaviour too and out the way so they adults could have fun!). It was a good night, but I always felt really out of place. I've always felt out of place in life. I can't put my finger on it, but I've always felt that I never fitted in or that noone ever wanted me around. Speaking to my Aunt in Australia recently, she was amazed that I'd never had a boyfriend an said that I need to get out more, but I'm not into that whole drinking, dressing-up, going to nightclubs thing. I feel really uncomfortable being around people who are drinking, and tend to avoid it if at all possible. So many people suggest that I go to clubs and stuff and I'll meet people there, but I don't drink, and don't really want to just try and bump into someone who does. I'm not into that whole cattle market thing.

God, that's just reminded me, I have a 'team building' bowling day on Friday coming up. Oh crap. Lunch then onto a bowling place while I watch all the guys (and my team is all guys) get drunk and loud. Home by 4pm for me on Friday then! At least I'm off Monday - Wednesday. Going to the Liverpool game on Tuesday evening and having a wee overnight stay in Liverpool before mooching up the M6 at a leisurely pace on the Wednesday stopping off at a few places along the way. Thursday and Friday morning I'll be in work and by Friday afternoon trying to find excuses to get away from the drunken bowlers!

Jeeeez, anyone know a way of fast-forwarding to next week!?

Lula - you've been very kind to that guy in having his Mum speak nicely to him to try and sort him out. Some people would just go straight to the Police (I'd be one of them!) so you're definitely giving him a suitable warning to sort himself out!

I know what you mean about the 'cattle market' thing, definately not my scene either!

And the bowling thingy sounds like my idea of hell!! I am allergic to anything with 'team building' or even worse 'team bonding' in the title :rotfl:

Enjoy the game - come on Sunderland!!

And if anybody does know how to do the 'fast forward into next week thingy' please let us know - I could use that trick sooooo many times ! :rotfl:

I have just checked mine and I'm getting £1.25:D Am quite happy though as my £50 which was originally declined will be paid in May:jand will need to do car insurance and breakdown cover soon, so hoping to build up my total fairly quickly:D

Oooh how exciting, i have £65 waiting to come through but then messed it all up by playing with the minimum pay amount & then discovered it takes an extra 10 days after changing that  I am my own worst enemy

Edit that - just checked emails & they've paid *launches into song* " oh happy day, oh happy day..." :)

Me neither, I do like going to the pub but I hate the whole cattle market approach to nightclubs. It's so difficult to meet people, but SuSu's recent experience has reminded me that it can happen at any time in a totally unexpected way, so don't give up hope, it could be at the bowling night for example;)

All my office laughed at me the other night for putting on lipgloss to go to the 'local' for after work drinks! But as us single gals know - he's out there somewhere - and who knows where he could be hiding!!! :rotfl:

FYI - he's still hiding - the lipgloss was wasted!!! :rotfl:
