    Hi everyone,
I have been reading this thread since it started,

    :j :j :j :j :j :j
although only registered to post in January this year. I can't believe how many singletons there are amoungst the DFW community.
I am 30 (31 in June) I've been single for 2 years and have recently become debt free. I found it difficult while in debt to date as I was always scared I wasn't going to able to afford a night out and when I knew I had a night out planned I had to save for it.
I have been registered on a free dating site for just under 2 years (joined 2 months after relationship broke down) have met only 3 guys face to face and although 1 is now a great friend, of the other 2, the first did nothing but make me feel uncomfotable and the other was lovely but I couldn't see us as more than a friend.
I'm hoping now I'm debt free that I may not be man free to boot! However knowing my luck with guys Mr Right will be hiding from me!!

Hi Palema and welcome icon7.gifIf you have been reading since the beginning you will know what a serious and sober debate about singledom it is:D Thank you so much for popping up, I am glad to find proof of people reading bit not posting, I did wonder. Are you still doing the dating sites? It's nice that you have at least made a good friend and how brave of you to go out and actually meet people. Well done on being debt free! If your Mr Right is hiding you have come to the right place, it's a common occurence here;)

No you don't! You miss being in a relationship. Stop and think. What do you miss about him that no other man can provide? I know it's hard, keep telling yourself that if you go back you will be back to square 1 and you don't want to go there. Onward and upward! Make a list of the qualities you want your new man to have and focus on that, look forward to meeting him and know that any step towards ex is a step away from fab new bloke.

    Hiding ?

I think mine's in the witness protection plan :(
  • Thanks for the welcomes to the thread :)

Sarah in answer to your question - Yes I'm still on the dating site its free so until I find my solemate I'll keep my profile there. The guy I met that made me feel really uncomfortable I only met a couple of weeks ago. Will definately not be meeting him again though!

Sarah: methinks you're right about the whole missing being in a relationship thing, I miss my ex being bloody lovely to me so if if I find someone else stupid enough to be the same she can go hang!

hmmm I do miss him, but its ok I have deleted his phone number and not thinking about texting him or anything.

had some bad news about a friends little baby today and he knows them and I just miss him. But I am getting used to it. been about 5/6 weeks now.

and I am not making a list, remember what the books say;)
