That's what used to get to me - the silent calls. I would have to try and answer it before it woke my Dad up, and then after running about like a looney, there was no one there.
Anything over 3 calls a day is deemed to be harrassment, but they (HBOS) only count contact made as being answered calls and not the silent 20 or 30 they can make a day until they actually speak to someone.
You're definitely not alone!

    Bathgatebuyer I'm horrified to hear the way HBos treated you - that's appalling. Have a belated :grouphug:. I hope your recording makes somebody notice and sort them out.
Mags also... :grouphug: . BTW is there a way you can report the silent calls as harassment not to HBos but to your phone supplier? After all if you got silent calls from any other number you'd call the phone company and have them blocked. Doesn't seem an unreasonable response to meespecially if you've already told them to write to you instead.
Well HBoS are off my list for where to apply for a balance transfer and for a new current account once I clear my overdraft.
My rant for the day... rang British Gas for the THIRD time today and politely explained AGAIN that I am not going to pay their ridiculous estimated bill for the 5 days after my flatmate moved out - even by their own reckoning, they're trying to charge me more for 5 days when the house was empty and the heating off than for the 2 1/2 weeks following which included a week when I was ill and had the heating on more. So far they have reissued the bill twice but are still telling me the usage is the same, which is b******s. So after explaining and being still told my usage was the same I said I'd review the new bill and take it up then. If it's still including their ridiculous estimate I shall call and ask for a senior manager or the complaints dept. This is all within 3 weeks of joining them - impressive isn't it!
Hurrahs to Shoe Gal and Slayer :j  :j , that's great news.

Hi all, I opened my sealed pot today, have been saving since June and it was full:j , I had joined the sealed pot thread but I felt it was cheating to be include savings from 6 months before the thread started so I will start again and keep it going until Dec 1st. Spent all morning counting coins and have taken some to the bank, but they only let you take 5 bags per day:rolleyes: so will need a few more trips. I had £406 :j which will go in the house fund.
I had some coins left over so I took them to the coin changing thingy:o which I know you are not supposed to do as they take 7.9% but I wanted to use the money straight away. Got £23 ish so got some tights for work, some Green and Black's Butterscotch chocolate:D and 3 packs of facial wipes using Boot's vouchers, spent £4.20 on the wipes but saved £15 and got a free bag of no7 things which doesn't count as buying toiletries as they were free:D. I will cut the wipes in half so they will last 6 months. Still have a few pounds left so will stock up on mini bags of chocolate while the supermarket has them for £1 each (or get some wine)
See, I can be a good MSEer when I try.:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

I know what you mean, have severely curtailed my trips there as I don't need anything, only went today as the coupons had to be used tomorrow. There wasn't really anything I wanted. Used to get some brilliant bargains when I followed the Boot's thread, maybe a few too many:rolleyes:
