Oh I've had a right good giggle readin the thread tonite!

You lot are blinkin mad on shoes and shoes have just never done it for me but I am soooooo tempted to go and look on clarks website

I have been lurking most nights but I NEED to get back into posting again as I am being really bad on the mse and diet front. Just today for example:

Diet... I've had 2 vanilla slices and a kitkat :( Vanilla slices coz I brought them home from work coz they were going in the bin and the kitkat coz they were 3 for £1 and I was making the most of having a spend day. But then to make it worse I've just sat and eaten a yorkshire pudding filled with sausage, roast taties and gravy :( And the only reason I ate that was coz my friend brought me round aload of freezer food yesterday from her mam and it didn't fit in my freezer so had to put it in the fridge instead and thought it's probably need using today. I hate to see food going to waste, I really do worry about myself when it comes to eating :o

Poor TDQO @ work now :( What a horrid thought!! Hopefully you'll hear from the 'people' today though, I'll keep everything crossed for ya!

Sarah... I almost wet myself when you gave the reason you think you got your medal :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I think the fact I'm off to check out the clarks website soon as I'm done here proves otherwise! haha! I do however agree with TDQO that it's because you're fab :D

Ohh Lula... a nite out...yay!! And OF babysitting...yay!! Hope you have a great night

RIght I'm off to check out Clarks

    Hiya Bowski,

good to hear from you again & you're right : less lurking & more posting please :D .

I am so with you on the food waste, didnt you find you put on weight when DD was a toddler ? I would eat my meal then finish her leftovers :o took me years to work out I should just serve her less  .

How long til Benidorm ? yes :o you & me on a diet as from sunday  . No more vanilla slices & if you're worried about food going to waste then how about putting it out for the birds ? That's what I do now, far better to watch them getting fat than me ;) . We are going to lose 2lbs every week  .

Need to go fill my beauty up with petrol now, that should scare a few ounces off me :rotfl:

My dear Old Friend is so excited about babysitting, dread to think what she's going to make him play

    bye for now

    Morning All

Nice to see you again Bowski, I was thinking about you this morning, while I was out for my walk (don't worry nothing too weird :rotfl: ).
I was wondering when the shoes Sarah made me order from Clarks would be deliverd, which in turn made me think about this thread & when I first posted on here & I think it was in response to you & car insurance.

Anyway that's enough of my inane ramblings, I'm off to buy some paint.

Ooh, I feel a rush of excitement coming over me!! Yep, been flirting with someone via email at work :p

Had a meeting with him yesterday: good looking (check), intelligent (check), made me laugh (check), third-finger-left-hand (all clear!), so I filed him away under "invest time in this one"!

He followed up our meeting by inviting me to join him on LinkedIn (you know, that business contacts network thingummy), so he's either a career-minded networker, or... what?? I'm terrible, cos I always see signs where there aren't any - gets me in all kinds of trouble :o

Anyway, we exchanged a few emails today and got a teeny bit flirty. Have another meeting with him next week, though only on telecon (with someone else). Need to figure out an excuse to get a face to face meeting.

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement (I'm easily pleased, I know!)

Off to the gym now for St SuSu :A Catch up with y'all later
£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
    Finally debt free!

Following my purchase of 2 pairs of shoes, I went to the shop for wine and ended up getting sandwiches and 2 big bags of mini chocolate bars as well. As I was leaving the shop I found 1p on the floor and the first thing I did when I got home was update my sig to include it. So I am a good MSEer. :D

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: *splutter*

Passed first exam :j (so at least it was worth coming on course!), got paid and updated sig :j , hoping to get rid of overdraft next month :j .

Dunno why but somehow have always put off dealing with the overdraft and paid the cards first. Decided to change that now since it's my smallest debt, it's nearly as expensive as the credit card (the one that isn't on 0%) and have been reading scary things on the other boards about OD being recalled at instant notice and suddenly charged for. Hopefully once I am in the black I won't feel so much like 'I'm never in credit for anything anyway' and it will motivate me!

Good luck SuSu... LinkedIn sounds like a good sign to me.

Lula hope you had a good night out

SuSu, that does sound hopeful:j You definitely need to find a way to have another face to face meeting, nothing ventured, nothing gained:D

SuSu: time to break out the hosiery and skirts-with-a-slit-up-the-side methinks...

My boss is in today so might make some progress but I'm not holding out any hope!

Work have now decreed that we're not allowed to finish early on fridays anymore... instead of doing 8hrs x4 and 6hrs on Fri we have to do 7.6hrs x5!! This is not cool at all as now I have to get up very early tomorrow (pre-9am) to get to the bank and the RTA

Rosa: I reckon overdrafts that have less than 6 months til renewal need dealing with ASAP as I found out over xmas, banks are starting to refuse to renew them at the current level. They might only reduce it by a couple of hundred but if you're at your limit then big trouble!

Oh and I found out yesterday that because I took an extra long xmas holiday that I didnt have enough holiday allowance for I've only been paid $400 for the last month!!! That's about 170 quid! I'm just grateful they've taken it off gradually or I'd have been paid nothing at all!

:j to Rosa for your exam and  to the hotel's snotty letter.....

TDQO - that sounds really annoying, there is nothing better than a short friday...roll on the weekend. Am somewhat confused as to when you go to bed as you seem to post on here at all hours?!! Clearly you must be one of those lucky people that can manage on zero sleep...I on the other hand, need my full 8 hrs..

I had quite a successful evening. I sorted through my drawer full of t-shirts and tops and put lots of them in a charity shop bag. So now can actually close drawer with no effort at all :j

I did find a couple of t-shirts I hope I can ebay....one is from a Cirque du Soleil show..there might be some fans out there??

The other is from when I went to see the Vagina Monologues - it is a black t-shirt with 'just say !!!!' on the front (apologies to those of a sensitive disposition) I was slightly drunk when I bought it, both on wine and feminist attitude and have never actually worn it.... I'm hoping there might be someone out there prepared to pay good money for it??!! (I'm looking for a fingers crossed smilie, there must be one somewhere????)
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
