Eco -that is fantastic - what a great start to 09! I hope all goes really well and you have a brilliant time! Good luck (although sure you don't need it)
I managed to cross something off my '100 things to do in 09' list already - went to the Francis Bacon exhbit at Tate Britain and did it in MSE style as one of my friends works there so got me in for free!! Hoorah! Hopefully some of the others things will prove as easy (although maybe not as fun - Complete Tax Return on Time isn't as appealing...... )I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
ooh eco.... I hope you have a fab time tomorrow !! I'm sure you're going to look just fine!
I've cleaned, fed and watered my car ready for its day out to Middlesboro tomorrow for the football. I should probably be having an early night but it feels like xmas eve, I'm way to excited to sleep!
I actually washed my car myself today for the first time EVER!! I normally get DD and a friend to do it because I thought it was a rubbish job, but I actually enjoyed doing it and the end result was more than worth it, I feel like I've got a new car
I've never been through a carwash before, was always too scared incase I didn't get my wheels on the right bit so I put it on my list of 100 things to do but it's getting deleted I think coz it's too simple and cheap to do it myself.
I hope I don't find anything else to delete coz I've not even got 30 things as it is lol
Are we writing out lists on this thread? I could do with a few ideas. Most on my list cost something...not good !!!!
I've not had an NSD today but I knew I wasn't going to so doesn't bother me too much. On the plus side though my sister put £5 in my account today as I was taxi for her on NYEInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21
Overpayment pot - £00 -

I've only said no twice & both of them it was because I was already with someone & I made a point of telling them I was flattered & if I was single I would have.
Also, of my 6 close mates 2 are in long term relationships with women who asked them out & none of us haven't ever been in relationships with women who've asked us out.
No, in fact I quite a crap time with guys back when I was a student. They always asked for my number but never called me. I used to think I was really unattractive!0 -
Hi Boswki,

Hey guess what, I asked him if he was busy tomorrow and were off to the coast, figured it would be best to go somewhere away from home, can't decide what to wear but not setting off till just after 12, so plenty of time to sort something out, and plenty of time to talk. I have a one track mind when I'm out drinking so we didn't talk much on NYE, but I've known him for ages and at least he know's I'm a bit of a loony so at least I can be myself.
Good News. I'll keep my fingers crossed.0 -

Ah, if you're talking about male students that's probably why. You were asking out boys not men. Please don't let those experiences put you off.0 -

That was back when I was 18.
Since then the only guys I have met that I have been interested in have given me the brush-off. I met my ex when I was 26 and was with him until 29. Since then I've met 4 guys I liked and they have all made it clear they were only interested in one thing. Of course the ones I've not been interested in have asked me out. I'm still flattered though.
Never mind, better to be asked than not!0 -
Hi all, sorry I haven't been posting for a while, am v sorry for worrying everyone:o Wish I had been spending time with someone fabby or at the sales, but sadly not.
*warning- rant ahead*
      Well, managed to get flu, have been in bed coughing and feeling **** all week, went to the dentist a couple of days ago, having root canal treatment, am petrified of the dentist, it was awful, the internet was down and I didn't know how to get it back up as flatmate was away, have had to wait for a week for him to come back from family Christmas, couldn't get to the sales in any way as too poorly to go in person and had no internet:mad: so my last week of my two weeks off from work has been royally spoiled:mad: Couldn't even go to an internet cafe as too poorly to move except to pay £100 to be jabbed in the mouth at the dentist. Have just checked the online sales I had my eye on and everything I wanted has gone. Had a list of fabulous things at fabulous prices and have got nothing. Had it planned weeks in advance. Could cry. Probably will. *cries*
*rant over for now*
Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone, hope you all had a good time, was v annoyed not to be able to say it on Jan 1st. I still haven't finished my list, but one of the things will be to make sure that the last week of 2009 is fab as this has been one of my worst New Years ever. I will not have a crappy New Year again!
Some things arrived today which I managed to order before losing the internet, so that has cheered me up a little, some things I ordered so that I can at least have a go at the £100 clothes thing, (needed some basics from M&S so I won't have to replace them throughout the year) plus ordered a lovely skirt and dress from another shop which look very nice (in the box) but are too small (on purpose, so I can diet:rolleyes: into them) and give the unfortunate impression that I am pregnant, so for the time being I won't be able to wear them unless I need someone to give me their seat on the bus.
I have just decided to change "lose weight" on my list to "get my figure back." I want my figure back! I don't care about the actual numbers on the scale! I just want my clothes to not stretch and to hang well! I have decided to try to wear all my still bagged and tagged clothes in 2009 so I won't need to buy any new ones, I cannot adequately describe how frustrating the situation is, I have a few things that fit and I wear all the time and are okay but very ordinary, meanwhile I am surrounded by loads of lovely clothes in bags, I cannot fit into any of them, yet 3 years ago they would have all fitted perfectly. I will start tomorrow:rolleyes: . Meanwhile I will put all the clothes in my wardrobe so I can see them and hopefully be motivated.
I think that's all for now, am off to check the boards and join Lula's challenge, hopefully I won;t be able to find it and will be exempt. Will be back later but just wanted to add I really, really missed chatting with you all, am so glad to be back with all you fabby people to do lists and dieting and debt busting and ranting and non spending on clothes (there may be trouble ahead:D ) and deposit saving and chatting and supporting and gossipping and challenges and whatever else we think of. Am never being ill or losing my internet again. Hope everyone is doing well and here's hoping 2009 will be our year:beer:
