I don't agree with that. When I asked guys out years ago they always said no. When I expressed an interest through my friends, they would then come to me.

Sorry to hear that. Did they say why?

I've only said no twice & both of them it was because I was already with someone & I made a point of telling them I was flattered & if I was single I would have.

Also, of my 6 close mates 2 are in long term relationships with women who asked them out & none of us haven't ever been in relationships with women who've asked us out.

I guess, I would hope in that context the conversation would continue down that route there and then ;)

    How was it left?

Dunno but I'd guess he didn't get the response he was hoping for at the time.

Hey guess what, I asked him if he was busy tomorrow and were off to the coast, figured it would be best to go somewhere away from home, can't decide what to wear but not setting off till just after 12, so plenty of time to sort something out, and plenty of time to talk. I have a one track mind when I'm out drinking so we didn't talk much on NYE, but I've known him for ages and at least he know's I'm a bit of a loony so at least I can be myself.

Well hopefully I won't muck it up, but can't promise anything, but I'm going to make sure I look just as good as I did on NYE, thanks everyone and I will let you know how it goes.

"you look nice tonight" & "you look hot tonight" aren't even on the same planet as far as meaning goes. ;)

What would we do without SBC? without his advice we'd be getting no where

    Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, just got back from a week with the family "up north". I'm knackered and ready for my bed (what with the 10 day cat sitting stint and 7 nights on my brother's settee, I'm done in!)

Anyhoo, I've been catching up on the forum and it seems we all survived the dreaded Xmas/NY combo. Well done to everyone and welcome to 2009!!

Had a v nice time but am now the size of a small planet having eaten too many sweets, too much chocolate and drunk too much coffee for the last 2 weeks. :o I've also been smoking loads (gave up in October), so will have to give up again on Monday

I'd completely forgotten about the £100 clothes challenge!! Yeah, I'll have a go, although I agree with the idea about guidelines - anyone got any ideas?

My "no chocolate till debt free" starts on Monday, eek!! But, I've been getting used to saying I'll be debt free this year (as opposed to next year). It's got a nice ring to it!

    Finally debt free!

Thanks SuSu, do you know if this was work I'd have had it sorted with less worry before now, so I've decided I'm going to treat it like I would at work then I can't fail, that's my plan and i'm sticking with it.
