Hope everybody is having a lovely evening - I am not going to say happy anything til after 12 (superstition inherited from Scots ex-boyfriend) but hope you're all having a great time either partying or enjoying staying in. I have my gorgeous new laptop set up, two slices of chocolate cheesecake , a book, my duvet, and lots of things to enjoy tomorrow when I wake up to a fabulous New Year. (It does help that my cold seems to be on the wane.)

I will be back after midnight!

Happy New Year everyone, and without wishing to sound cheesy I feel that this thread and the many others has helped me to save more last year, and hopefully I will improve this year, so thank you for helping me, and yes I'm still single but I'm succeeding in other ways, so what the heck, and I got told I looked hot last night which i knew, and for the first time in a long time I was up at 9 this morning and I will see NY's day this year. So I will have 1 NY resolution and start a new spending diary and I will save and learn more
this year.

I had a very nice and chilled NYE at my friends house, we had a lovely dinner but we were all shattered so we went to bed fairly early at about 1.30am.

However......I didn't realise that my friends husband had drunk quite as much as he had, he came over all nauseous in the morning, someone was in the bathroom and he didn't make it to the downstairs loo in time......meaning my gorgeous purple suede boots (pre Xmas sale in Jones, £50 down from £89) are now spattered in v****t (apologies for those of delicate disposition) :eek:

Oh well, I'm off to the shops tomorrow to see if I can get some suede cleaner and a brush!
