Went to the staff do Friday, it was really weird since I do dress differently at work to out of work and I had so many compliments it was almost embarrassing. amazing what hair straighteners and dim lighting can do!
I like the people I work with, and had a good dance. no decent men tho. my boss is gay and she was very nice to tho! this is going to sound very odd but if she was a bloke I would probably fancy her? that sounds mad ! but I know what I mean!
I am having a phase of I need a boyfriend.

But not everyone behaves as fairly as you. Some people would see it as an opportunity to make some money and I wouldn't want to risk getting involved in a situation like that. To be honest, if someone damaged my car and actually left their details, I would be astonished.
I've had it happen 3 times & twice the people have left their details0 -
I have been thinking about the fact that my clothes represent what I want not what I have and the fact that a lot of them are still in the bags. I don't really have enough space at the moment to get them all out but I would have if I had a big clear out. But thinking about this has made me realise that even if I did have the space I wouldn't unpack them
I would still keep them in the bags. Some of them are 3 years old! Am a bit alarmed to realise this. It's like I'm saving them for my fantastic new life
But I can't keep doing that and having nice clothes just to look at is a bloody expensive hobby. Am very confused now.
I binned/e bayed clothes I was saving for when I lost weight. Trouble is I now have the most boring wardrobe in history, only buying tops from M and S on the way home from work and george at asda online cos its cheap!!
one going out dress, 2 weddingguest dresses. 2 tops and short skirt for when I am thin.
I wonder if 2009 will be our year?Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Also having phase of need a boyfriend... could just be with having a carp week tho, as work's been rubbish as well. (So rubbish I found a breadmaker in my trolley this week - always a bad sign, it means "don't wanna work any more I wanna be Nigella". Going to give it a go though along with the slow cooker I'd forgotten I had.)
Glad you had a good time at the party Buffy, I'm sure the compliments were well deserved!

Hello!!
Sorry I'm a bit late - I've been seeing other forums!! Sorry for being momentarily disloyal, but I had to find out exactly what was behind the bizaare Strictly Come Dancing result tonight. I was allbut think I understand now.
Aaaaanyway... Rosa, I'm so sorry to hear about your pooter, car, flatmate and all that. BUT... having had my car "hit and run" and also had a (lovely) old boy leave his details behind after scratching my car, I really do think that £500 is extortionate! My hit & run left a dented scratch along my driver's door and the front panel and even though the repair man sucked air through his teeth as he looked at it, it was still only around £295 and my car was only 12 months old at the time.
When my car was scraped by the old boy, I got a quote from my same repair man and the old boy gave me the details of a repair man close to him. I got two quotes - mine was cheaper - and the job was done and paid in cash. It was a small job - about £125.
I don't see why the Mazda has to go back to the dealer for a paint repair job, but if it's a new car it might just be that the owner doesn't know any different. Can't you suggest you both find local repair men and get separate quotes. Don't worry about what they might think about your financial situation - you're offering to pay, so they should be a bit more reasonable I think.£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months

I think I am feeling a little bit like this too Buffy, it must be the time of year. I have spent a while thinking I don't need a boyfriend just yet, want to lose weight, battle debts, etc first, but I do think Christmas is a bit carppy if you don't have a partner. It just makes everything more fun. Plus it reminds me of every single other Christmas when I promise myself that next year I will have someone to spend it with. Then I make no effort during the year and am always cross when I spend another Christmas surrounded by my family who all have partners. And to make it worse there are lots of new babies this year. I am the only single childless one.:sad:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
