Single and in debt.

Hi JoannaKay, welcome :hello:
Lula - generally in the "in-between and looking" in my case. When in actual relationship have more interesting things to do, when at ending stages too annoyed/ upset to deal with rubbish about how it's just his inner armadillo/ his Martian tendencies/ my lack of surrendered-wifeness/ etc. I don't think you're missing much, tbh. The only one I won't be recycling to the chazza shop is one based on MBTI psychological typing, because that actually makes sense - I have the work relationships version too. Meanwhile, how's your car-hunting going?
Happy Tuesday all

Ooooh sorry, have I committed a sin ? It's just never occurred to me before, do I read while in-between partners, in the dying stages of a relationship or roll over & start reading after the first 'moment'
Yes you have.:D
The optimum reading time is in between partners. These books provide just the correct level of "it's all men's fault." They tell you:
1. How fab you are.:D
2. How rubbish men are.
3. It's not your fault.
4. How to get a man.(Any man)
5. The man you have is rubbish (if you think he is rubbish; if not, see 7.)
6. The man you have is not rubbish. (unless he turns out out be rubbish, in which case, see 5.)
7. How to get a non-rubbish man (see 8)
8. If non rubbish man is patently non rubbish , how to keep him. (You won't)
9. If non rubbish man has confused you with flattery, how to spot he is rubbish.
10. If 9. applies, how to get rid, whilst keeping your dignity. (includes the chapters: how not to drunkenly text, how not to publicly break down, how not to be visibly jealous of newly engaged/married./pregnant friend/colleague.)

Welcome JoannaKay :A
I'm going to have to stand next to Lula on this one, I have never read a relationship book either, maybe this is why I have it all so very wrongso if any of you start up a little library put me on the list for a book please
I threw myself off the wagon last week, put on 1.5lbs and to add insult to injury just came back from a wonderful weekend in Aberystwyth, with great company and very delicious food (did I mention the couple of glasses of JD & coke? :shhh: ) I can only see that weight gain figure increasing on Wednesday
Anyway glad to see all is ticking along nicely on thread and Rugbymum is giving us all hope :lovethougbtw hope you wont leave the thread! I am sure Sarah doesn't mind some ex-singletons!0 -
i haven't read any relationship books, my best advice on the quickest way to get rid of someone is to make them hate you for some reason, if you try saying it's not working they'll stick like glue, as soon as they realise your crap they'll drop you, not very nice but sometimes arguing about who's fault it is is a bit relentless.0

Ooh, definitely, One day I hope to be an ex singleton myself.:D I don't want people to meet someone and disappear from the thread! We want to hear all the news!Plus if I meet someone, the debt would still be mine and I would be dealing with it on my own, so would still be single in that sense. No one is allowed to leave.;)

Don't worry Ossireo, I constantly throw myself off the wagon before I've even got on it properly. Your weekend sounds fab, it's good to have some time away from everything, hope it's done the trick and you are feeling better.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

have been following this thread for a few days and i have been smiling to myself because I can relate to it .
I am single-ish (have a on/off mainly off relationship with my ex who is my daughters father so he is not going away any time soon:mad: not healthy i know ) I live on my own and pay all the bills .I have 11,000 worth of debt from before daughter arrived , I have no savings and live hand to mouth and am always robbing peter to pay paul but dont quite manage ever to pay peter back
I work part time and i hate my job and am waiting for news from an interview i went to last week but it has been a week and no news yet so i am pretty sure i did not get it .
things are a bit tight this month due to some unpaid leave and dd birthday and the long list for santa and NO he does not help out with daughters presents except for the usual monthly child matinence he gives (to be honest she eats more than he gives a month )
Oh and i too have never read a relationship self help book :rotfl:Rent Arrears [STRIKE]£210[/STRIKE] £110

Sarahb,
Hello & thank you for that fantastic piece of writing :rotfl: :A :T .
I think i have numbers 1 -5 pretty well ingrained but I need to know the answers to 7 ,9 & 10.
To be honest today I dont give a stuff because .... I finally found a car :j the deposit has been paid & I shall be collecting it on saturday. It's much prettier than a man & I can shut it away when I dont want to use it
perfect.
Glad to hear we're all under lockdown & I promise to stay even if I find gorgeous male type who insists on paying off my debts for me
hugs to all

Hi mammamia2, good luck with the job, I hate that part where you're waiting to hear back from them, welcome to the thread, everyone here is so funny and friendly, but beware if you want to join us that you are banned from leaving:D
Am beginning to feel quite lonely in my self help book appreciation.
