I think DS might have won a Wii, its a little bit hearsay at the moment but I am so excited!

    :T:T:T:T Congrats
  • Ohh Ossireo I hope he has, you'll have to let us know!! That's fantastic, I'd love it if DD won a wii, would save me at least £200 this xmas lol

I sooooo wish I didn't have a nite do to go to tonite, it's chuckin it down and its absolutely freezing!!! I don't even know what the heck I'm gonna wear and I've only got an hour n half to decided on something. It's not like I have alot of options so I guess it shouldn't take too long.

This time lastyear I'd have put my heating on so it was nice and warm for me getting in !! I realise how blinkin crazy that is now, so not going to do it. I am looking forward to getting in though and getting straight into my p.j's and a jumper and gettin straight into bed with a brew, I'll do DD a hot water bottle to make up for the lack of warmth in the house!

Well I had quite a good DFW day yesterday, put £5 in my friends card for her birthday, thats what we all do for each other, pointless really i guess but it is nice to get a nice amount to treat yourself to something. the card I got her was only 29p..home bragains special!! I loved it, didn't look tacky or anything, i was well impressed!! So, we went for an all you can eat buffet and I just had water with it so that just came to £7. I only took £10 with me so I knew I wasnt going to spend much more than that. My sister bought my first drink in the first pub, then we went to my mam's pub and I got a diet coke...55p and then a lass went home ill and I got roped into working. I got £20 which I gave to my mam what I owe her and then got a few tips and ended up coming home with £4.85. Not bad considering I only went out with £10, got fed watered and paid £20 off my debt lol

Will only be taking £10 out with me again tonite, but will have to put £10 in the card and will have to buy a card from Asda on my way which is gonna be at least £1.50:mad: I know it's not alot but I really thought I had a wedding card in my cupboard but I can't find it. If I knew I didn't have one, I could have searched for a cheapo one in town during the week. I really need to be more organised!! It will never happen tho. I am sat here, absolutely everything needs doing...hair..face..clothes for both me and DD yet I'm in no rush to move. I'll start freaking out in a bit when i'm rushing around !! To be honest i'm not fuessed bout getting their too early coz I only know the bride and groom so gonna be just me and DD. She's already told me she won't have a boogie with me and i'll have to dance on my own..yeah right !!!

Gees, what a ramble... I hope you's all have an enjoyable warm saturday night.
I may well be back on later, depending on what time I get in from the doo!

Hope it ended up a better night than you thought. It's usually the ones I'm not looking forward to / haven't planned that I enjoy the most.

Hi Sarah - I am 35 and single as of this Wednesday just gone, so I think I can join in this thread! Haha. The relationship only lasted 10 months anyway and I got in to debt 6 years ago, way before he came on the scene. I rent a home and have no kids or cats. I've been paying off my debt steadily for the last 4 years and will be DF at the end of this month woohoo! I think clearing your debt is a personal thing and the details don't really need to be shared with a partner unless you are living together of course. My recent ex is actually terrible with money and is one of the reasons why I don't see a future for us, I would not want to worry about his financial situation after worrying about mine for so long! It's ok to be single and it's natural to feel lonely too...I feel for you. If you are looking for someone to share you life with then I hope you find someone gentle and kind who is financially savvy and he can support and inspire you...that's definitely what I'm after next! Sending you a hug x

It's very quiet on here today! Hope everyone is ok. Have been very naughty today, bought a new bag for £40. It was reduced from £60 though, so it could count as a bargain.:o It's absolutely tiny, can hardly fit anything in it and I can't really afford it but I absolutely love it:D (note to self- this is why you are in debt.)

Bought a skirt yesterday, but realised when I got home that it is very similar to one I already have, so that can go back, in the bad old days it would have just stayed in a bag in the wardrobe, so I'm getting better at that. Just realised I have forgotten my car tax so will have to sort that tomorrow. Have been shopping for books on the internet, but used money off codes and some will be for Chrismas/birthdays, so not too bad. All in all, an expensive weekend:o Now enjoying a restorative glass of wine:D

You can do your car tax online now Sarah, I used it a few months ago and it was really quick as well. Good bargain with the bag as well :j

Well DS has won the Wii, just spoke to a lovely lady who confirmed it was our address but explained there was a mix up with the prizes supplied to them so the editor has it in hand and it will take a little time to sort out. Hoping the good news will continue tomorrow when I should hear about that little part time job as will be a nice buffer to the weight gain on Wednesday as all I have eaten has been rubbish all weekend :o

Hope you enjoyed the do Bowski, have to let us know how it went! :A

Ossireo thats fantastic news, I'm made up for your DS.Hopefully it won't be too long before it all gets sorted. I'm sure it will be worth the wait anyways :) Good luck for tomorrow, I hope you hear what you want to. Just wait till Wed till you start talkin yourself into having put on loads of lb. Last week I ate nothing but rubbish yet still lost 3.5 and I think I could have done alot better if I hadnt thought 'oh well i've prob put loadsa weight on anyways so might aswell eat more pie/cake/crisps' lol Maybe I wouldnt have lost anymore weight but i'm sure my heart wouldnt have minded at least 3 less pies than I had, hope that makes sense!

Thanks for asking about Saturday guys, as RMR said I ended up having a great night... I went to my Mam's for a top and ended up wearing one I hadn't wore before and it made me look slim (ok slim is a bit much as i'm a size 20/22, but ya knwo what I mean!). Then when I went in I seen a lass I used to work with so I ended up sitting with her all night, having a right good natter and her DS is the same age as my DD and they played together all night, we didn't leave until 12:40!! It was just one of those great nights, i didnt have a dance but people were up dancing all night and I enjoy watchin people have a good time. And to top it off I spent less than a tenner and that was with buying milk, chewing gum and a card :)

I'm sooooo cold... Still not put my heating or fire on yet and I'm determind not to for a while yet! The only problem is, I've got my Dad staying for a few days:j and I want it to be nice and warm n homely for him. Which is pretty wrong considering i'll let me and DD freeze our backsides off before I'll put it on!
I'm off to check DD;s bedroom, my Dad's stayin in there so I've told her to go tidy up but I know fine well it won't be done!

Hope everyone has a nice evening, i'll be back on later

    Hi everyone,

Ossireo - brilliant news about the wii - really pleased for you hon.

Bowski - so glad you had a good night out & at a great price too :D

Sarahb - Congratulations on your purchase - I hope you'll be very happy together, I know I would be & lets face it as it was reduced by £20 & you're taking the skirt back... it was virtually free ;) . Hmmmm there's a clue there somewhere as to why I'm also in debt  . The only slight reprimand I'm going to head your way is : Books + Library = free reading :D If you havent tried it, it's worth giving it a go, I'm now an addict, to the extent that I'm heading off to bed now for some monday me time ...

    G'nite

That's exactly how I justify it to myself! Must STOP doing it, but will let myself off just this once. :D You are so right about the library, shamefully I have one about 5 mins walk away, but have never visited :o However, I may join up if I have some free time this week, I spend so much on books, it would be a significant saving, also must learn how to put some of the ones I will not read again on amazon. Can hardly move here for the books, am almost afraid to move in case I knock one pile slightly and have to be rescued by the fire brigade.

Ossireo- brilliant news about the wii, sounds like you have your son following in your comper footsteps!

Bowski- glad you enjoyed your night out and hardly spent anything, they are the best ones!

Sarahb - 5 mins walk away  you naughty girl ;) That's how far away my local one is & although it's not huge there's always loads going on there & they will also order any books in that you want to read but they dont have. Also , once you've joined you can use your card to get books from any library in the county - 6 books at a time I believe & for up to 6 weeks at a time.

Also ... I always think that if there is a man out there for me then the chances are he will be an avid reader so he may well be waiting for me at the library ;) Our local one also doubles up as a community resource centre so there are loads of other classes going on like yoga, language stuff, arts & craft & I'm sure I've seen a poster about a book club & ramblers association in there too  .

Dont forget - money saved on books is money available for bags / boots/ shoes/ etc :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls .

Weather's rubbish here but since we now have heating on ( very strictly regulated of course ) it's cosy so I dont care, anyway what with internet I can easily shop from home :rotfl: - joke .

For goodness sake Bowski will you please put the heating on, you make me feel cold just thinking about you ;) .
