As the title says. How do you freeze fresh peppers. Do you have to blanch them first or can you just chop and freeze. Thankyou for any replies.0

Hi coralred,
I chop and freeze on a tray. Once they're frozen I bag them up. Open freezing like this means they don't stick together and you can lift out as many or as few as you need.
I'll add this to the existing thread later:

I just chop and freeze in a bag, give the bag a shake every hour or so to stop them freezing in a solid lump0

I have frozen them before now. I just chop them up, open freeze and pop them in a bag. Ideal for casseroles, stir fry etc. They do lose their crunchiness though so best used for cooking rather than raw.0

Yes, easiest way is to chop/cut them into the strips/chunks that you will most likely need place them on a baking sheet spread out and place in the freezer.
Once they are frozen i transfer them to one of those freezer bags. Putting them on a baking sheet first means u are less likely to get a solid ball of bits of pepper in a bag. hope that helps
