OS Daily Wed 23 July 08

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning. Looks to be another fine day. I have to work of course, but should be plenty of sun afterwards.
OH is off to a big boot sale today and then visit her sister, so I will have the evening to myself.

I painted the Daughters room last night after spending sometime choosing the right shade of white. Looks pretty good. Just have to gloss the skirtings tonight and then find a new bit of carpet.

Veggies are growing great and the peas are up to about 6 feet tall. Should be several pounds of them in due course.

Well have a nice day And no more soppy cat pictures

Morning, N9eav, and everyone that follows. I had a bit of a restless night last night so I'm up and about too early even for me. Work in a few minutes though. Going to treat myself to a haircut later as I really need it - can't see through my fringe anymore! Anyway, hope everyone has a good day. Off to mum's for tea tonight, so free meal!

(((hugs))) for those that need them.

Good morning everyone - looks like another nice day today!

(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Candygirl and her Dad, Beth and her DBs and all who need one.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

I had a slightly better night's sleep last night - just one bout of restless legs (more like restless brain!); it wasn't helped by someone ringing late in the evening to accept their invitation to DS2's wedding, so much emailing to the bride-to-be and me wondering how I'm going to cram five extra people into my house (they're not all related so can't doss down in one room!) Anyway, as DH said, we shall overcome this minor problem!

Well, having cleaned the house through yesterday I have the ironing to do today, a little paperwork and then I'll spend a good couple of hours on the wedding favours. I'm not collecting DGS for his usual visit after school because it's the last day of term and he is having a friend round for a sleepover.

Dinner is still undecided - I was going to do a mini-roast with the leftovers from Sunday's breast of lamb but I'll see how warm the weather gets. I'm making Aussie's Impossible Pie for pudding by special request from DH.

Anyway, I'd better go and wake him up for work so I'll see you all later.

    Morning :hello:

I'm really tired this morning so I'll have an easy day, just need to clean out the baby piggies and do some hand-washing. I ended up recording Farming Heroes, a friend came round and was really upset cos he'd split with his girlfriend. He's been with her for a week  At least I've got something to watch while I have my lunch :D

If I've got the energy, I'll weed the bit of the veg patch where the carrots were and plant some more. Can't leave it empty, that'd be a waste :D

    Morning all
Last day today, woo hoo. Yesterday I used 12 boxes of paper in one of my machines & another 12 between the other 2 machines, 5 reams to a box, 500 sheets to a ream, I'm sure I dispose of a couple of trees a day all on my own as I have 3 machines in my room.
I was meant to be going out Mon & Tues evening & both were cancelled, so I'm not as tired as I would have been, but I had problems sleeping last night, I was in so much pain after lugging all the boxes around. There must be another job I could do, lol, unfortunately I'm too thick & only suitable for manual labour. Oh well, whinge over, I have 4 weeks of sewing & temping to look forward to.
Hugs to those in need & welcome to the newbies. Happy B'day Taplady, you're still only a baby.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Happy Birthday Taplady, :j :j , have a great day, doing a milk round on your special day  :D

Another bright day here, I am off to w**k leaving two teenagers home alone  , never mind I am sure the dog will keep an eye on them. We are going up to the beach tonight with fish and chips, will take a bottle of squash and the kites, badminton and frisby and have a couple of hours down there.

My sister has four dogs  who get taken to her OH's work, its a big yard out in the country, any hoo two of the dogs have eaten someting poisionous, and have been in the vets for two nights fitting and shaking, its all a bit touch and go at the moment, and my sister is in a right state about it all, they think someone might have put poison down on purpose. The vet billis over £1400 already, the dogs are a mum and son, and the son broke out of his cage in the night and was found laying on the floor next to his mums cage :o

Hugs to smoky, hope you are feeling better xx

Hugs to crisca, beth, jayward, and others in need, have good days all xx
