I had written to lloyds TSb stating i was in financial hardship, i was told i would have someone call me, they didnt, then i got a letter saying ifd i didnt call them they assume im happy not to proceed. I rang them and gave all my financial details and they have identified that i am in financial hardship. I have receoved a letter saying that they have referred my details to the relevant department as i believe im in hardship however it looks as thought they arent going to do anything as they mention the test case quite alot in the letter so im assuming they are putting me on hold with everyone else.... any one got any tips on what i should be doing next??
You will be under the control of collections in India. They will ring you every six months or so in order that they can arrange a suitable solution to your overdraft.
During my last call the Indian gentleman asked me why I didn't have any money, probably a verbal type of SOA. I told him there was a recession in my country at the moment and I didn't have time to talk.0 -
Hi. I started my claim procedure and got to the postion where the bank asked for details of financial hardship. At the time I came into some money and didn't think the bank would deem me to be in hardship. Some time has past and debt collectors have appeared asking for money I didn't know about and I haven't got money to pay them. I'd like to start my reclaim process again but not sure at what point to start it? Any advice would be much appreciated please?0

anyone have any idea how long i can expect to wait to hear more from rbs after recieving a letter on Sat 13th sept saying that they have stopped any further charges and interest on my account and " a refund of charges has been agreed. An offer letter willbe sent out from our Customer Response Unit in Edinburgh confirming the amount." patiently waiting on the postman (well ok...not so patiently lol) every day...

I am in severe hardship and have been advised by CCCS that my best bet is bankruptcy, but I don't have the money to pay for it. I have tried claiming back my charges from Halifax and Lloyds due to hardship, and they are both refusing and keeping my claim on hold. Many people have already been refunded long ago, some in full. How is this treating customers equally and fairly.
Do you have credit card charges over the last 6 years? They can be reclaimed even the £12.00 ones.
On the bank account, do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?
Are any of the priority debt arrears being paid off?0 -

Hi all,
I'm currently trying to get some money back from Lloyds. I've followed all the steps to try and get the money back. I've been given the run around by Lloyds usual letter stating that they will pass on to the relevent department. They have so far refused to deal with the case under hardship rules.
All they have done is try to pass me on to a department who will look at ways of saving us money on our day to day life (well, seeing as I'm unemployed at the moment and we have already done what-ever we can to save money, I don't see the point). I refused that as this wasn't needed. I took the matter to the FOS and still they refused to look at the matter under hardship.
My complaint was eventually moved to a abatration panel who recently sent us a letter stating that they found in favour of the bank!!! I rang them and the chap I spoke to told me that really the banks don't have to do anything when it comes to the hardship claims! So why the hell is it one of the major points that they keep getting their waivers!!! Apparently the guy told me that all they have to do is just look at the matter and decide if you do fill their hardship criteria. Well according to Lloyds I don't (I do according to Natwest though, already hadmoney back from them without major hassle).
The thing is, in the letter from FOS, they state that Lloyds are fully aware of my financial situation, even though they have never asked us to fill in a financial statement! I've told the FOS that the bank have lied to them over this. But I've now got to write, yet another letter to the FOS asking for the matter to now to be looked at by an actual ombudsmen... I'm about at my wits end and am ready to give it all in. I'm fed up with all this, I've lost my company, can't find any work, my mortgage company are beginning to start reposession proceeding against us and I just feel I can't turn to anyone now for help as all I keep getting is my head hit against a brick wall!!!
Beware people, Lloyds arenow taking dirty steps to ensure that they don't have to pay one penny out to people...
LloydsTSB do not have to send out an I&E form if they can assess the financial hardship without one, ie have all available information. Furthermore, which bank account was the priority debts coming out of? If NatWest have paid out then that would have reduced your hardship and would have meant you had more money than when you first started the process because they paid out. Can I ask when NatWest paid out and when you started the claim with LloydsTSB?
The problem I have is that if they were done at the same time then you have a big problem asking an ombudsman to look at it since NatWest's payout MIGHT have eased your financial hardship. You will have to argue that since the NatWest payout that your hardship then got worse again and was made so by further charges from LloydsTSB rather than NatWest.0 -

Some time has past and debt collectors have appeared asking for money I didn't know aboutWhat do these relate to?These are council tax debts which I'm trying to deal with now. They amount to about 4000 and the charges would be about 2,200 so would be a great help. Should I recalculate new interest as it's been a couple of months since I did the last part of it and would be a bit more now?0
