Bank Charges Financial Hardship Disussion

I have been trying to reclaim some bank charges for a friend of mine. At the time I first wrote to the bank she was out of a job and therefore had no income and had built up £100s in charges because of it, so we pleaded financial hardship. The bank eventually wrote back asking us to fill in a form to prove this, but in the mean time she managed to get a job which took her out of the criteria for financial hardship. If we don't send the form, or any form of communication back to the bank will this automatically put the claim on hold for when the test case is decided, or will it scrap the claim altogether? Obviously we still want the charges back but know we cannot claim financial hardship now so I don't want the claim to get lost somewhere!0

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I have started a claim against Lloyds, they have sent me a list of charges which were for a business account, which I also used for personal as I am self employed, am I able to claim for the arrangement fees, when they extend or renew my temporary overdraft, think i'm right in syaing that the service charges are unclaimable.
Thanks Mike0 -
hardship / confirmed ? nat west
hi all , just received a letter this morning for my hardship claim of £4391 inclusive of interest .
i refer to recent corespondance . you request has been assessed & confirmed subject to regular token repayments as appropriate . this arrangement can continue ,if required until the result of oft & uk banks case is known .
you will receive a letter in the next couple of days detailing the amount of the charged refund due to you .
until the result of the case ect ect we can confirm that no further charges or interest will be applied to your account we will also need to discuss d/d standing orders you have also your £ 50 overdraft facility .please contact us in this regard
yours ect ect also might i add . this has been a very quick and not as unpleasant experience as i was expecting , the people i have spoken to have so far been very understanding .. fingers crosssed every one !!
so im not sure what the regular token repayments as appropriate ect means and could some one just clarify the meaning of this ,
yes i know i should probably just wait & see . has any one else received such notices

I have been trying to get my money back from RBS for over three years but they keep wriggling out of it.
The last attempt was as a hardship case as I am no longer working, have recently split with my partner and have had to go back to living with my parents who are in their mid 70s, disabled and with a pretty strict routine because of their medication, don't need me hanging around. I told RBS all of this.
RBS closed my account in August 2006. It was held in Huddersfield and I now live in Leicester. They wrote back and said they couldn't talk to me as my address was different from the one they had on file and before they could I would have to go into my branch and change it!!! Are they taking the mickey or what?! I've now had enough of their games and am now going straight to court!

Is the account open or closed?
The Court will stay your claim automatically so you will have to wait for the conclusion of the OFT test case anyway.
Did you receive your details of the charges?0 -

Hi everyone
I have just added up charges on my account going back to Dec 07 and they have amounted to just under £1000.
I am bouncing at least 3 DD's a month becuase they are taking charges & meaning that the money in the account is not there for the DD's
So I have hit this cycle that I am finding it hard to get out of :-(
I am with the Abbey.
Do you think this counts as financial hardship??
Thanks very much0 -
