When did the financial hardship begin(so job loss, lack of overtime, etc etc)?
When were you unable to cover your bills going through your account?

Thanks for this nat. Financial Hardship started last Oct, starting having trouble covering bills through account from about January this year.

Yes also include proof of arrears in priority debts (rent, mortgage, utilities, council tax)
  • i am like many people who have used the hardship claim for my son whilst he was on jobseekers. he ended paying out just short of a thousand pounds. i have been told by halifax that i will have to wait until everything has been sorted out in court. does anyone have any idea what else i can do as regards the hardship claim back ?? i would be greatful as he now has a job and doesnt earn a great deal and the money would really help him (his only 19 and still my baby)
  • Can someone answer this question.

I am appalled that my bank keeps charging me an overdraft fee @ £25 every time i even go over by £1. The thing is i dont even have an overdraft set up, i didnt want one. The bank puts me overdrawn when they keep taking money out when i clearly dont have enough in the account to keep paying overdraft fees, then they charge me for that. Im so sick of banks. How can they charge for something i have not set up. Arggh im so annoyed with them. I wanted to go into my branch and speak to a human face to face but was told i have to do this by telephone or letter. WHAT! I cant believe what the world is coming to. Over the past couple months i have been charged almost £200. Please can someone tell me that they can not charge for an overdraft fee that clearly i have not set up.

If he has a job and I assume living at home with no priority debt arrears, then he has little choice but to wait along with the other 1.12 million other bank charge claimants

Good morning all, I wondered if you could answer something for me. We have submitted a hardship claim to Halifax. Do they have a set amount of time to respond? We wrote to them on 1st July and have heard nothing. Thanks
