I've got to replace a PVR and was going to go for a Humax. Having read loads of reviews, it seems that they have a difficult menu structure and often freeze!?....even the FOXT2
I wondered what this was like : PANASONIC DMRHW100 although the optional wi-fi dongle is 80 quid!?
I need twin tuners and at least a 300gb disk (not too worried about internet connectivity....) and a simple menu and no freezing.
Any ideas welcomed
Thanks

You heard wrong. I have a Humax 9200T & HDR Fox T2. My girlfriend has two Humax 9150Ts. We've had no problems, no issues, no freezing. The menus are very clear & uncomplicated. Your granny could operate one without reading the manual.0 -
Thanks, everyone. Now got to decide between a FOX T2 PVR ( although I don't have an HD TV at the moment but would be future proof!) or the 9300.
I have found out that you don't have to have the 29 quid Humax wi-fi dongle for the T2 as it is based on the Ralink RT3070 chipset, so the following Edimix range of Adapters (at around 10 quid) should all work with the latest Humax firmware according to a techy forum.

I have a humax 9150T and it has an occasional problem where the picture starts skipping in the same way that worn out DVDs start jumping. It does not happen very often but is damn annoying when it does. The only way to get it working properly again is to reboot but this does not help when you have recorded something that is skipping left, right and center.
I suggest that you describe the symptoms on the following forums...

You may find a better solution than rebooting.0 -
