I still use an analolgue TV and don't have a freeview box. Can I use a freeview PVR to replace my VCR?0

Noticed Asda had a fairly decent spec Sagem for £99. Had the added benefit that you can plua a USB disk drive into it to archive recordings to DVD0

Does the Humax 9200T have series link? This is the important issue that will determine whether I buy one or not! hello0

Yes it does. Mine didn't have it at first, but it was a new feature added in automatic upgrades early this year.0

my Thomson DTI 16300 packed up yesterday Hoooorrraaaahhhh!
had to have been the most unreliable piece of rubbish ever, so was relieved when it just stopped
took it back to Tesco and got a refund.
Ordered the new Thomson online, but when went to collect at Argos it was the same model as the rubbish one
they phoned other branches and same story
new ones wont actually be in stock til all the old ones are gone
so be careful if you go to get one, check it is in fact the new DTI6021-25
and not the old DTI16300
I'm surprised they can get away with selling a different model number than advertised
also their advert says exclusive to Argos, but I've just ordered it from Tesco....
I havent seen any reviews for the new one, I just hope its a s good as my trusty old DHD400, which is the best thing I've ever bought!0 -
so...... I ordered DTI6021-25 from Tesco
DTI16300 arrived
sent it back, reordered
guess what arrived today ......DTI16300
not sure the new ones really exist!!!!0 -

Glad you confirmed what the Currys man said Terrierlady. I have a "Which?" report entitled "Easy Guide to Digital TV", which says on page 20 "If you watch analogue and don't want to switch to digital TV, then a PVR is not going to work for you"!!
Most (if not all) PVRs are digital...so if you *don't want* to switch to digital, you're gonna have issues.
If you're happy to move over, however, you just unplug your VCR, plug in your PVR instead - and that's it.0
