Thermal underwear

Wear pyjama trousers under your outer ones. What you need is to create an insulating layer of air. Embarrassing should you have an accident and have to go to hospital but I'll take that risk to keep warm.0

Just remembered I bought some thermals last year and haven't worn them yet but put them on this morning and lovely and cosy they are too.

I think that's where my lovely pink thermal long johns came from, and they keep me warm as toast!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Alas, too late to add it to my list of 'jobs you will end up doing if you don't pass your GCSEs' for the boys. :rotfl: Top of which was sorting out the underwear in Primark, closely followed by working in a Christmas shop with a singing Christmas tree ...lilac_lady wrote: »That job would be on my "I'm glad I never had to do that" list.
Back on topic, today I have silk long johns under jogging trousers, silk vest and long-sleeved top, silk shirt, thin cotton cardie and large silk shawl. Plus bedsocks, and this year's new slippers, I must have known this was coming as they are fur-lined bootie style, and keep my feet warm as toast.
But sitting here I have a wheat bag round my shoulders and another on my lap. I'm not cold exactly, but I can feel myself stiffening up.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I got some long johns from Primark for £3 for standing out in George's Square on new years. Got to say they worked a treat0

And I have now swapped the silk shawl for a thin but capacious pink fleece button up jacket / cardigan from my local charity shop. Far more convenient, and extremely toasty!Back on topic, today I have silk long johns under jogging trousers, silk vest and long-sleeved top, silk shirt, thin cotton cardie and large silk shawl. I am wearing my 100% grey cashmere cardigan from John Lewis which I bought in one of our local charity shops for £5. Warm as toast and lovely and light to wear under a coat.0
