    Thanks for the link Savvy-Sue,

    I bought some silk thermals for my Scottish holiday in January and it was amazingly comfortable and warm. This site seems to have such a variety of clothing and very reasonable prices. I think I might be seriously tempted.

    Thanks:beer::beer::beer:
    You're very welcome. I've bought from them several times and I am always seriously impressed by how fast it arrives, despite coming from the other side of the world! There IS a risk of having customs duty added, but it hasn't happened to me and they try to avoid it by the way they pack things.

    I also haunt my local charity shops for silk shirts: brilliant for summer because they are light, take up next to no room in a suitcase when packing, and can be both warm and cool.

    The only problem I have with silk is that it's so slippery. My silk dressing gown doesn't stay tied up. :o Oh, and DH doesn't like his silk boxers much because they slip around inside his trousers. I don't have that problem with my Bridget Jones style silk knickers ...

    Blacks and Millets had some great looking thermals on sale last week as it obviously is not the season to be buying. Last years skiwear I presume! Take a look!

    Hi Savvy-Sue :T

    Ordered three different items yesterday all at half price, they are sending in two parcels to avoid duty. So hopefully can now keep really snug and warm this winter without looking too frumpy. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Thank you very much Kitty. I have just placed an order for my dear husband and myself, so we will be lovely and snug when it turns coldxx

  • Sorry Kittie, I spelt your name wrongly :)

    Where do you get your Bridget Jones style knickers from? Am assuming you are talking about what my kids call "Granny Knickers". :D All my cotton ones are on the way out - the elastic always goes! And I definitely fancy silk ones instead of cotton. :wink:

    Best wishes from wet Abersoch

    PS (later) just had a root around on the New Zealand site and found them - Doh! At the time didn't think to look under Underwear! (embarrassed grin)

    Sunny Abersoch today!
  • I bought some from eBay last year, but the sleeves were just a bit short and really tight around the cuff area (and I've got thin wrists). I've been told that silk is the warmest too.

    Let us know what you decide Nomad25.

    NZ Nature! Scroll about 3/4 of the way down the page for the really big ones! :o :rotfl:

    I only have two pairs, which I keep for weekends. During the week I swear by Sloggi cotton ones, they seem to last a good long time despite being tumble dried. Eventually I put my thumbs through the body and they have to be condemned.

    I would give a link to their website, but there's just too much on it! I usually get mine in Debenhams when there's a sale on! :money:
